Should we respect our enemy?

No, it's suicidal. People who do this either confuse respect with personal assessement, due to a lack of understanding of the deeper notion of respect, or they are really, really weak and/or regressed, as in the case of people with the so-called Stockholm syndrome.

In other words, there is a difference between not respecting and not underestimating someone. Respect is earned through actions- a person's actions is his or her nature manifest. Who would respect a mass-murderer of innocents, or of one's own family? When you think about it, it's disgusting.

a question about the "fighting with emotion" where the hate is the key... is that something that berserkers used to do? they kind of channeled the hate so they could fight for hours and even if they were struck they wouldnt die, only when the hate had worn out?... or is that just some fairy tale bullshit?... my opinion is: it is not... so thats why im asking if anyone can give me any information about this :)

Not if it gets in the way of being aware that it is an enemy. In respect to war; respect is usually observed as letting your enemies dead bodies be safely transfered to a cemetery without any qualms instead of keeping it to be sold in the deli as repackaged meat.

P.S. I haven't read any of Sun Tzu's The Art of War but I might one day...

You can also listen to an audio-book on it since is a popular old book with no copywrites.
If you want to be efficient you can do this in another language! And you can read and listen at the same time to remember it better.

Good idea. I didn't realise it was not copyrighted. Thanks.

Adding to what zolaluckystar said - ignorance is bliss, hey? No. It's not. It might seem like it is, but a baby born into poverty knows no better, until s/he learns, and then realises that the ignorance of not having an amazing life was not bliss at all.

By the way - you don't have to like every individual person, as I said in my previous reply. Respect is not the same as preferring, necessarily. Here's an interesting thought, perhaps controversial - do we like the Yehubor? Do we respect it for its shit? Do we respect it for its tenacity and ability? Do we have to respect our enemies, in one context or another? For my last question, I would say - perhaps. Perhaps we have to respect our enemy in one context or another; otherwise, we'd undermine its ability, being arrogant and conceited ourselves, which would then be our downfall. Unprepared. This question is better suited for its own topic. Check the forum for that. Our Clergy are not our enemy, but we don't have to like them, per se. At the end of the day, we should just get on with what has actual importance.

There is always the ability - and perhaps most importantly, the option; the decision to make - to grab ahold of bad and either turn it into good or get good out of that bad. The Yehubor and its side are our eternal enemy. If there's one thing we might be grateful for, it is that we can build strong character and determination to overcome this shit. The more that shit is thrown against us, the stronger our resolve can be - but we don't need to wait for something to be against us to increase the strength of our resolve, do we? We can hate them with every fibre of our being, but we should be careful to not let our emotions overwhelm our clear thinking.

You can decide any context/s - should we respect our enemy in one context or another?

P.S. I haven't read any of Sun Tzu's The Art of War but I might one day...

So the Yehubor said ignorance is bliss? xD
Sure she would try to promote this lol

Fark. Where be the Groups-Archive? :( Seeing as this is a topic about respecting, and seeing as we respect our Fellows and Clergy - is it nice to put a teensy-weensy bit of pressure on the Clergy to re-up the Groups-Archive? :p Lol.

It's much more important to care for the living forum than it is to care for the old forum that already died. Work being done to update this one, more important.

The groups-archive domain is active I think but the site isn't opened. It seems to be password Locked.

It used to be, but the last time I went to it it was parked.

No, thank you. I wont respect them. Period.
I dont understand why this whole thread has become so argumentative when the answer is clearly in front of everybody's eyes. Stop confusing yourselves people. We have a vision and we know how to get to it. No need for useless absurd discussions like this .....
Remember, the enemy has many tools against us. One of these tools is distraction and confusion
Even about the most obvious things.

No, the enemy does not deserve ANY type of respect in any way. This is rudimentary. Let us focus on defeating the enemy rather than wasting precious time wondering if we should have respect for murderers and rapists.

If you do it will be one of the greatest mistakes you ever made as you will find out eventually.

No we should not respect them. Not sure where this line of thinking has come from but these are the last kinds of people that should be respected. They should be shown disrespect for them and their, “Holidays”.

I think people forget that they (the Yehuborim) are our true enemies and sometimes zoom in on individuals of the Yehuborim.

The person who started this thread and idea is a confirmed Yehubor by a bunch of people. That is why their account was deleted. She even has pictures online and it's pretty easy to tell She is a Yehubor.

And yes this is the normal enemy approach in confusion and subversion. Of course there are Yehuborim who appear as nice and good or whatever. If there were not they would not have gotten this far.

But on the inside all of them are the same. Also no one knows what the private life of these "good" Yehuborim are like or what they are involved in.
It may be they are hiding a lot and just know better how to fit in.

Now that makes sense as to why that line of thinking has come up. Figures that a Yehubor would ask that 😒

sly, I am neither a confirmed Yehubor nor a Yehubor, thank you very much. Get your facts right before you start preaching, bR0. Now with that out of the way - sly, pay attention. Try re-reading the thread I made for those who have been upped to unmoderation status. Here! zola is not here (at least not under that username); I replied to a thread of her's/its on the Yahoo! Groups; I started this thread here.

I never said you were a Yehubor read what I wrote. The person who started this thread had their account deleted it looks like (zola) that is who I said was a Yehubor. If it was you who started this thread then sorry.

Me, FancyMancy, not Yehubor, not zola, not gRaMmAr NaZi (oh, wait), not... erm... I can't think of a 4th one... started this thread! I was just quoting myself from the Yahoo! Groups regarding what zola said.

I think it's all clear now! (I hope!)

While we must recognise the enemy's strengths, respect is not a word in their vocabulary and we shouldn't treat them with it either.
