As it's stated in the Temple of Zeus, there is a Chtonic or a Dark Side to the Divine. This darkness far exceeds all that "left hand path" understands, and it goes all the way down to the underworld and the epitome of darkness, death and dissolution.
Many people in particular because they like fancy labels, a starbuck coffee, and to pretend they are dark, they adopt it as a style. In general however, the real darkness, extends far below the threshold of human expectations.
In Zevism, to be fair and balance between the Light and the Darkness, we are therefore, going to release the other side of this: The Cthonic Gods. The Cthonic Gods and Beings, are essentially "primordials". They are in charge of death, punishment, rage, and all of these things which make the darkness be dark.
Make no mistake, this is not Izfet. Darkness is not the agency of Izfet; darkness and all these are powers in the service of Zeus and the Gods. It's the realm of transformation, descent, and what lies "below the earth". Izfet is categorically a disorder. The darkness, has as much order as the light or the heavenly realm.
In a few days, new Rituals [approximately 12] will be released on these. You will find in these no Divine Names or incantations, as these forces are simply way too dark. As Zevists we must venerate the darkness and the Cthonic Powers, because they encompass a great part of life.
With the advent of the Yehuboric cults, the "Light and Darkness" were separated. In the reality of the cosmos, the light and the dark, work and operate as Yin Yang, as parts of the whole: Life and Death, Wisdom and Ignorance, Left and Right. There is no separation here. Each person by alignment, will feel an affinity to either side; yet both these sides are under Zeus and the Gods.
The Tripartite Nature of Zeus is this: Zeus [Heavenly], Poseidon [World of Idols, our world], Hades [Underworld domain]. The Underworld, also called as Hel, is where all the dark and most fearsome things lie. But for the Zevist, there is nothing to fear; same as death. Zevists must be become spiritually and psychologically proficient, to be able to embark in both paths.
Ultimately, the Path of Theophoros, will require you to master the light and darkness. Darkness, is not "evil". Darkness when used for Theophoric purposes, is necessary. Zeus and the Gods set order in the cosmos by these forces and their reason encompasses both life and death, existence and the beyond.
Lastly, before anyone is alarmed: Funerals fall under Necromantic arts. The Necromancer as people imagine them is not a person obsessed with death; it's a person who has mastered the arts of beyond to communicate with the dead and the "dead" are the beings which lie beyond our dimension in the "underworld" or the lower astral domains.
Albeit this should not be the main focus of a Theophorically Oriented Zevist, the situation is that Zevists must be proficient in the dark arts, as much as the arts of the light. One cannot hope to bring light in the world, if they have no knowledge, awareness and perception of death, resurrection, dissolution, purification and the flow of descent.
