New Order of Ritual Schedules & 10 NEW Rituals of Muses

AvatarHigh Priest Zevios Metathronos4 min to read

Greetings everyone,

First and foremost, with a lot of happiness and joy, I announce the Rituals of the Muses. The Muses are Divine Intelligences, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and they can help everyone tremendously in the domains of works they rule over. All 10 Rituals are here:

The Rituals of the Muses weren’t announced in an Official Schedule. When this happens, the leadership of the other Ranks within the Temple organises the schedules. To make this clear for everyone, the Temple has issued a new Declaration:

Declaration on the Order of Ritual Schedules and the Leadership of the Community

Read it in full. Below is the simple version.

The 3 Ranks of Schedules

  1. Official Ritual Schedule, by the Administration. It can come at any time, without notice. When it’s in, all of us come together: Clergy, Administration and Members. Every other schedule becomes secondary or stops.

  2. Schedules of the Priesthood: Priests, Nominee Priests and High Priestesses.

    • Each Priest decides whether the schedule is for a group, the whole community, or both. Joining is your choice.

    • Those above the High Council always join with their Priest or High Priestess.

    • Any schedule a Priest leads belongs here, the High Council’s included.

  3. Schedules of the Groups in Vultus Templorum, our online chat community and online Temple.

    • Novice Guardians (NG) and teams of Supreme Guardians (SG) can organise schedules. Joining is your choice.

    • An SG or a Priest can give a small, optional endorsement.

Each Rank supersedes the ones below it. If 2 schedules of the same Rank run at the same time, you choose which to join.

The Yearly Zevist Calendar

The Calendar will be released by 23 December 2026. Every day of the year will have:

  • A God or Deity of the Day, or a God in another Epithet.

  • A Name of Zeus for the date: an Epithet of Zeus together with another God, said as a short prayer. This is explained in the Golden Book of Zeus.

  • Clear guidance on what is best to do that day.

Until then, each leader chooses the Gods for their schedule.

The 8 Festivals

These are kept by all of us, together, no matter what else is running:

  • Winter Solstice, 22 to 23 December: Zeus and Dionysos, the Highest Celebration

  • Imbolc, 2 February: Estia and Artemis

  • Spring Equinox, 21 March: Astarte

  • Beltane, 30 April to 1 May: Aphrodite

  • Summer Solstice, 23 to 24 June: Apollo

  • Lammas, 1 August: Demeter

  • Autumn Equinox, 21 September: Demeter and Persephone

  • Samhain, 31 October: Persephone, Pluton and Anubis

The Cures and the Festivals

The 10 Cures and the banishment of the 10 Pathologies now follow the meaning of each Festival. Each Festival governs the season until the next one. For example, between Imbolc and the Spring Equinox the Cure is Sahukathar and the banishment is Sahiburah. The full table is in the Declaration.

The Rituals of the Muses: Recommendations

The sequence runs 10 nights in a row. Mnemosyne comes first, then Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomene, Terpsichore, Erato, Polyhymnia, Urania and Calliope. This is Hesiod’s order, and the 9 nights answer the 9 nights Zeus spent with Mnemosyne.

Run it on any 10 nights that end before 22 December. Leaders can open with the Grand Ritual of Zeus or close with the Ritual of Apollo.

An Example

It’s 23 February and there’s no Official Schedule. The Calendar shows the next 7 days with their Gods, Epithets and Cures.

  • The High Council, led by a Priest, sets a schedule of Rituals, prayers and Eulogies for those 7 days.

  • At the same time, Novice Guardians open a group schedule. Members join by choice, an SG endorses it, and the group proceeds for the 7 days.

Considerations

Respect what each person can do. Regular members and recent Initiates can only do that much. Going up in Rank, more is expected. The top Ranks are expected to do the most, and to be dependable and professional in the worship of the Gods.

Going Forward

Except for the rare major Official Schedule, our Community must organise in leadership, and leaders must take their roles. Progressively, the Administration (myself and a few others) will be there only for the most pressing tasks. This shows trust and love to the Community. We will always be available.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for this. As a Novice Guardian, I consider it a great honour to be entrusted with an even more active, grounded and present role within the community, and to have the opportunity to contribute more directly to its growth and development, once again.

I find all of this truly wonderful and deeply meaningful. To revere and love the Ancient and Supernal Gods, while striving to become more like Them and embody Their teachings in our own lives, is something we should always strive to achieve, without excuses. Having the opportunity to support others in this path, encourage participation, and help strengthen our Community makes this initiative all the more significant.

I am also extremely delighted and grateful for the ten Rituals of the Muses. They have always fascinated me, and I believe the Riuals will bring a wonderful source of inspiration. I am particularly excited about them because I am currently preparing a small personal project with a rather creative nature. It was something I had already envisioned before Mercury went retrograde, but which I reconsidered further during its retrograde period. I intend to set it in motion once both Mercury and Venus have turned direct. I have a feeling that these Rituals will be especially inspiring and meaningful for this undertaking.

I am equally looking forward to the new Zevist Calendar. It is beautiful to have the Divine presence and a dedicated Name of Zeus associated with each day. It will provide us with a meaningful way to deepen our daily connection with the Gods, bring greater continuity to our devotional practices, making it even more present part of our everyday lives. I am so grateful for this

Thank you once again, and for eternity, for all the work and dedication behind these developments. I genuinely believe that what is being established is a tremendous blessing for all of us, opening new opportunities for growth, devotion, creativity, and collaboration. It is a truly wonderful blessing upon the Temple and its community.

Now it is time to show how we deeply care about the Zevist Community and Family in the Gods!

Ἀρετή καὶ Τιμή

Dove l'essenza dell'esistenza risiede
Il nulla dell'oblio viene superato
E il figlio prode avanza verso la Vittoria.

Looking forward to participating in these new rituals. Our unity and capable leaders will build stronger relations between Zevists and the Gods. Thank you, High Priest Zevios Metathronos, for all you have done for us.

When all your flesh fails you, and when the darkest darkness falls upon you, always remember the Gods and keep them in your heart. The Faith in the Gods can level mountains. All obstacles that you have today, you have the ability to overcome them. You must know this in full confidence, you must ingrain this in your heart.

Thank you, High Priest! The Muses are fascinating to read about. Each helps cultivate human capacities that bring people closer to the Divine and the Gods.

  • Mnemosyne: Preserving sacred learning, remembering truthfully and retaining understanding.

  • Clio: Learning from the past and preserving tradition.

  • Euterpe: Finding joy and harmony through music and listening.

  • Thalia: Letting go of pretension through laughter and joy. Joy that makes room for truth.

  • Melpomene: Facing suffering with courage, compassion, and justice.

  • Terpsichore: Bringing actions into harmony. Her prayer explicitly asks that what people read become action, giving sacred understanding practical expression.

  • Erato: Expressing affection and turning love towards the Divine.

  • Polyhymnia: Praying with full attention and reverence. She is invoked to keep the person fully present during prayer, receptive to the Divine.

  • Urania: Understanding order and the relationships between things.

  • Calliope: Speaking clearly, nobly, and persuasively. Helping us to have a worthy speech and coherent narrative.

I remember the day I led my first ritual as an NG (God Abrasax), it felt very exciting and different.

The Rituals of the Muses weren’t announced in an Official Schedule. When this happens, the leadership of the other Ranks within the Temple organises the schedules. To make this clear for everyone, the Temple has issued a new Declaration:

Thank you, High Priest Zevios, for these Rituals as well, following the magnificent surprise of the Golden Book; I am certain that we will honor both the Gods, you, and the entire Temple. Radiant and prosperous times await us. We will know how to sow, and then we will eagerly reap the fruits of our labor.
