How much can I develop if I skip kundalini Yoga or do it once a week?
Is it crucial for spiritual developement?

I never did yoga much at all. You can develop a lot of power and siddhis without it. I'd argue you can even technically raise the kundalini without it too, though its painful. I can't speak on whether reliable results are obtainable however, as I don't have this. Yoga is just one part of the equation, it would likely be harder but not impossible at all.

I'd say do both Hata and Kundalini Yoga daily. They are the most advanced practices for spiritual advancement. If you are working poor on your advancement you will also have poor results. But start slow and build up over time, like start with one of them, then after a while or when you feel you can do more, do the other one as well.

Repairing and strengthening the central meridian (Sushumna) is essential for awakening the kundalini serpent because it allows the energy to move correctly in the three main meridians, it also accelerates progress because it increases the energy in the chakras and is very good for the physical body

I would even say that Kundalini yoga stands at the very heart of spiritual development. It is not merely a practice among others, it is the pinnacle toward which all genuine spiritual work ultimately leads.

Please read our High Priestess messages about yoga (at the very least). It is anything but "just" or generally worth the downplaying you have done. But it is understandable, given that you do not have much practical experience. There are eight limbs to this path, and yoga asanas are a very important part of this whole. I am sure when you have practiced some form of chi cultivation, such as asanas or qi qong in earnest over an extended period, that your perspective will change.
