Guardians changing names.

The feeling of a community here is also extremely damaged. It feels like most of the members who have been extremely important for so many years are all gone. Because many of the guardians have changed their names, and there is nothing to see what their names used to be. Many of the members who have been so important and who we have known and recognized for so many years, and who are extremely important with their status as guardians.

They all are gone and disappeared, the names of members we have known and recognized for so many years are all gone and disappeared. And replaced by the new names of unknown strangers who we do not know, do not recognize, and remember no relationship with.

I know High Priest Zevios Metathronos, that is easy. I know High Priestess Lydia Coventina who has kept her name and only added to it. I am talking about everyone else.

And why are my words blue? I did not try to make them blue. It always seems like nothing works anymore on this new website. The disappointment only grows. Everything always used to work absolutely simply and perfectly.

The list is here. People change their names as they see the older ones isn't sacred enough. Most of them haven't change anything and you can still read message from a lot time ago from those Guardians, so you can still be able to know them well.

People mature and change, usernames often reflect that.

"Unknown strangers", especially of a religious community that one is a part of, can easily be made into friends and comrades on the path.

Also, if you know someone for many years, you'd likely check up on them and notice what they changed their username to. You almost make it seem like people changed their identity entirely.

As for "nothing" working, I'd say more people would be complaining if that were the case. New technology and infrastructure takes time and friction to get used to. Life goes on, progress happens, these things are natural and normal.

People using computers are not complaining. I'm using a phone and many things are broken, or have been made extremely difficult to use compared to how they always used to be. I can't even cut and paste what I'm writing to move a sentence when I'm writing a comment because some popup menu comes up.

For example, it took me like 6 months or maybe even longer to figure out that Priest Aleksandrios Ionos is Naked Pluto, and even I am not sure about that. It was neve said. The whole time I was feeling guilty and thinking who is this person who has no history here and a name that I have never seen before. When at that time I was here all day every day for years reading all of the messages, so I am sure it was not a name I saw before that.

This is one example. The old name I was familiar with and recognized was gone to never be seen again, and the new name was the name of a stranger who I had no recognition to and never seen before. With nothing to say that it is the same person.

There are others who have changed names. I recognize profile pictures, but do not remember what the old names were. Years of history and recognition is gone and replaced by a new unknown stranger's name. I don't understand why it has to be this way with not saying anything anywhere, so at least we would be able to know who it was and know it is our highly appreciated family member who we have known for years.

I wish. I've been kicked out of everything from all of these website changes with nothing working anymore. I haven't been in VT since about a year ago.

I've been a member of the forum since about a month after the forum was created. I was on ToZ website since a few months before that but didn't want to join a group at first. And since then, I have participated every day with trying my best to help as many people as possible. Then they had to break these websites and I feel almost entirely excluded. I keep waiting a month or two to come back and see if everything is working for me yet, and it never is.

Progress or advancement would be nice. It would be nice if some useful or helpful feature was added. I honestly can't find anything useful that was added. I find only problems and have not seen any advancements on this forum website.

This is the targeted message.

I feel the inverse of this about the community despite the significant changes and name changes.

What we are now is going strongly in the proper direction of what things needed to be like around here in the first place.

Before this it was like we were in serious risk of disappearing and having the whole community and everything crack apart into nothing.

I understand the changes are a bit much with the names, but give it time and I'm sure everything will come together how it should.

However, I do think there should be a way we can see what members previous names are, as I have a hard time keeping track of this all myself.

Come to VT. Everyone talks there every day and you'll get to know them. I think there are even games you could play with other members.

I used to be there. About a year ago they changed the website to a different service that does not work on a phone and made it impossible for me to go there. With every update that is made, there is never an update to make it work. Everything is always moving in the direction of becoming more bloated, more complicated, and less functional. Nothing is ever in the philosophy of just having something simple and basic that works for everybody.

i use everything on my mobile aswell. If your unable to access VT since the migration I would be happy to walk you through the process 🙏🏼.

we have to remember here that there is limited staff and resources, things are being updated and improved upon so that the final product is worthy of the Gods .

Is it possible that you excluded yourself? You said you use an old phone and clear cookies etc, so why not get a new phone, or a tablet/pad if you don't want a computer but need a bigger screen, why not contact our IT team to resolve the problem instead of waiting months and checking? If something matters you need to get it sorted.

You also mentioned previously that you have physical pain from work, and you do not do hatha yoga. Physical pain and stagnant energy limit the mind, prevent the ability to see solutions to problems, and prevent the Gods from guiding us.

I have made lists of complaints and described specific problems when the website change was first done. And every time, I was basically told too bad, that is how it is and it will not be changed. Nobody wants to listen to anything that I have to say about any improvements or functionality problems. No complaint that I make will be honestly addressed. I did try a few times. So I can wait, because I expect that whoever is working on this (if anybody even is) is just very busy and everything will take time. It has been very painful for me being away for so long, but it has been made clear that nobody cares about any suggestion from me and nobody wants to fix any of these problems.

Of course nothing has been improved that I can see. It gets to be so difficult to use that it is just easier to stay away, when there is nothing that I can say or do that would lead to anything being fixed. This is how they want it to be and they won't change it for me.

My phone is perfectly fine for everything else that I do and every other website has no problem. I don't know why only these websites have such serious problems. The only other website that is similarly bad is Home Depot, and I only use that very rarely just to see what aisle something is in. My phone is not the problem when every other website or service is working perfectly fine, and the old website was absolutely perfect on a phone older than the one I have now. We are trying to become a global standard and gain 100 million members but we can't even have a working website that works on a standard phone like most people have. Most people in the world do not buy the newest phone every year. A website is such a simple thing that should just work on any simple web browser. I don't even know what features have been added that are so bloated to harm performance so badly. I can't see any feature that was added other than decorations.

I can't be the only person that has been having these problems. I can't be the only one affected. And regardless of myself, these need to be fixed for everyone else who is in the same situation. With supposedly enormous amounts of developments being done, I don't understand why everything is going so far backward in functionality. When all of the old websites were absolutely perfect and simple. I could do anything that I needed to in literally a few seconds. I could log in, see the newest unread comments in several different topics and reply to them in literally less than a minute. I can't even see anything here that is an added feature or useful in any way that would explain why it seems to be so bloated and memory intensive. Is it just running a million AI agents or operations in the background?

I could write a list and describe in detail every specific problem. I have done it before. But it would only be ignored.

Thank you for being nice. But I'm not going to buy a $2,000 phone just because that is the only way to get a website to work. Then in the next year, there will be another update here and even that will be broken. Every other website works fine so I don't know why our organization is the only one to have this problem. And only in the last few months because the old version worked perfectly.

I don't know anything more invasive and full of spying, tracking, and everything else than the newest phones. George Orwell could have never imagined. Anyway, coming here is the thing that I would like to keep more private.

You’re not the only one having these issues. The main difference is that I only use my mobile phone to make and receive calls; I access the forums and the main website from home using my laptop, and they are often very slow, plus the VT chat also suffers from numerous connection errors.

And I’m certainly not willing to spend 1,000 euros on a mobile phone when I almost never use it to browse the web.

I know Satchives was an old name and I forget who they are now.
There was another name that started with S, I think, that also changed. But I forget what it was.

If I were you I would just invest in a different dedicated device for this like a cheap laptop and go from there. I have tested and ran everything we have here in a variety of operating systems and mobile devices and don't have these issues.

It can be a bit clunky on my older phone, but things still function and I don't really experience all the issues you describe.

Try to see what's available to you in terms of laptop or desktop computers.

I am a bit at a loss what the issue could be as these sites and the platforms we have are not that bugged glitched out. I often even have everything pulled up on Xmonad and snap the workspaces however I need them to different screens as well, and haven't experienced anything significant in terms of glitches.

Log in in 5 seconds. Press one button and instantly see 50 unread topics. Click on a topic, it loads in a couple seconds, and instantly goes to the next new comment that I have not seen yet. Write a comment in a simple text box that just works simply, and it is posted in a few seconds. Everything was perfect.

I can't even imagine what type of feature was supposedly added here of an improvement. I only see decorations and animations that cause pages to take forever to load. AI doing things in the background to further make it take forever for everyhing to load. Have to click through 10 pages to get to the unread topics, and each one of the pages takes forever.

I click on a topic and it doesn't show me the next unread comment. Because all of the comments are mixed up. Have to go down searching to see which thing I did not read yet. Very difficult to write a message. I can't even copy and paste anything to edit or move things while I am writing because the website has its own popup menu that comes up when I highlight something and never shows the phone's popup menu for copy, cut, and paste. The closer I look, the worse it gets. The more I try to use it, the more problems I have every step of the way.

Greetings Brother, I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a bad experience with all the changes lately. Not surprised and you do make a valid point about the names being changed without there being a way to see who these people were before (maybe there's a way that I don't know about) however there are good reasons and positive sides to that.

Many of the most active members have either gone away or in temporary inactivity due to various reasons but hey, you're here and there's so much progress to be enjoyed, new material to be learned and applied and new people that make a genuine effort and contribute with quality content.

As for the functionality, there's surely a way to resolve most of the issues you're having. I'm also using a phone almost all of the time and did have a few problems untill I found a way around them. Perhaps a different browser or cookie settings can solve some of the problems. You should try to install VT again, it's worth the trouble, especially for the rituals and AMAs. I'm not the techiest of people here but maybe if you explain in detail the main problems you're facing in this thread we could solve at least some. I think SG Apollo Above is the one that did a large portion of the upgrades and improvements to all the platforms so he should be able to help you if you ask him even though he's surely busy but will probably find the time cause he's a nice guy.

My work is in building, modifying, and maintaining machinery controller systems that are used by hundreds or thousands of people every day. I understand how it feels to be excited about making some big update, and big change that is supposed to be a great improvement. But instead it is full of problems and non functional and I have to go back to how it was before. Often in any kind of technology or system, the best thing to do is to make something as simple as possible while still having the necessary features. As complicated as it needs to be to do what you need it to do, but without unnecessary complications that cause things to break unexpectedly.

For most inventions, there is a great saying. "It is not finished when I run out of things to add. It is finished when I run out of things to take away." Simple, efficient, basic, and functional. Is better than a system that is often broken and unusable but has many bells and whistles.

The problems you're probably experiencing with page loading and the like may be related not only to your phone, smartphone, and operating system, but also to internet speed.

Regarding technology:

Technology is moving forward, if you live in Western Europe, or even more so in the USA, you should have no problems buying a new smartphone, since all equipment in the USA is cheap compared to the country in which I live.

Considering that many products - especially equipment is very expensive in my country, for example, a good computer costs like 5-12 salaries of a highly paid specialist, whereas in the USA anyone can afford such a computer, working for 1 or several months (maybe less), I understand perfectly well that no matter what the difficult conditions are with the economy, high inflation, I understand perfectly well that if I don't save up and buy a computer, I simply won't be able to work and communicate with other people, because every year the requirements of browsers and various programs increase., websites (especially in the era of artificial intelligence and high technology) require more powerful equipment, so I save up and buy, save money from my salary to buy good, powerful equipment, despite the fact that good computers in my country are more expensive than a car.

I think you need to pull yourself together and accept reality for what it is.

If you are in a difficult financial situation, you can save small amounts every month to buy a new smartphone or computer, and I think within a year you will save up for equipment that will last you at least 5 years, but you will not experience the difficulties that you are writing about now.

Everything is solvable, so I ask you to pull yourself together.

Thank you. But my phone is perfectly fine. It is not old and it is not weak. It is ridiculous for a website to be so overly bloated that it is half way non functional on a basic web browser. I don't have any problem with any other website. Just as I never had any problem with the forum before they changed it to this bloated mess. I don't need a million AI agents trying to load in the background which are doing nothing useful anyway.

I am trying to Like messages from Astrid. And even that is another broken thing. I was able to react to the other messages but not anymore. I guess this is another great progressive advancement, you can only like a few messages before you can't anymore.

This place has been my home for many years. But everywhere I look, every one of the smallest and basic things that I try to do, is half way broken. Or all the way broken. Nothing ever works until it forces me away.

I've been here all these years, and I am having this many problems. Imagine someone seeing this place for the first time who is not a member yet, and experiences the same problems. How did the bad functional experience affect if the person is staying?

I understand that sites and links you once knew like the back of your hand changing, admittedly, creates a feeling of loss. Name changes confused me too, at first and some still, but they will become familiar again. More information in sites, better structured and cited, is not a real problem just needs time to get used to.

The only issue seems like the technical problems.

But I'm not going to buy a $2,000 phone just because that is the only way to get a website to work.

This is surely an exaggeration, my phone is more than 6 years old and it was not $2000 when I bought it. How many devices have you tried to view sites?

When troubleshooting tech problems, the first thing to check is whether the same issue happens on other devices. The website seems to work perfectly fine for most people, apart from a bug or two here and there that usually get fixed quickly. If most people here can access it on their phones, that suggests the issue may be specific to your device.

My phone cost me around €400 two or three years ago, which I paid for in €20 monthly instalments. It's not exactly a modern phone, but everything works perfectly fine for me.

We can help you figure out what’s happening, but you need to be more specific about the problems you’re experiencing, just saying that everything is broken we cannot help you figure out what the problem is. For example, is JavaScript disabled? Have you changed any browser settings?

I'm not saying that you should buy something, just try what is not working on other devices like a friend's or a relative's to see if the problem is with the device or with something else? This way you can know for sure if it works in a regular web browser in a regular phone like most people in the world have like you said

Have you considered whether it might be time to buy a new phone? I understand that your current phone is older, but it still works well for your everyday needs. However, technology continues to evolve, and we also need to consider how our websites function for people discovering them today. I’m not saying you should buy a new phone solely to use ToZ-related websites, but upgrading could still be a good choice for you.

You liked the old website because you grew up with it, same as me and many others here. I liked it emotionally too. It was familiar, and I knew where everything was. But rationally, I can recognise that it was old and needed updating. Someone visiting for the first time does not have those memories or that familiarity, they just see something old that feels weird compared to websites of today... What feels comfortable to us may feel very confusing and difficult to navigate to them.

Like it or not, we live in a technological world, and since we operate 100% digitally, we are constantly competing for people's attention, it's just how these things work, and if we are to expand and reach as many people as we can, we undoubtedly need to use technology. If our website looks like it did twenty years ago and makes information difficult to find (again, for you and me it was easy because we knew our way around, but for new people it was difficult), many people will not want to spend their time figuring it out. That is understandable. We want people to explore the teachings, and the website should make that as straightforward as possible.

The websites work on most devices, desktop or mobile, but if you are extreme on privacy and if you choose to disable JavaScript or restrict cookies for example, these are contributing to the problems you are experiencing. The websites are built on modern JavaScript technology (most sites are, these days) so if you disable it, it will naturally break a lot of features. I don't know if this is your specific case, though.

Specific problems should be addressed, and we will do our best to maintain compatibility with older devices. But there are practical limits to how much older hardware and browsers can support. And also if you disable JavaScript this is a separate issue, features that depend on it cannot work while it is blocked, so most of the site will feel bugged and broken. We should make reasonable efforts to keep the websites accessible of course, but also we need to allow them to evolve with current technology and the needs of new visitors.

I have gotten a newer phone. It is not the newest one, but it is the newest model that I like with the features that I want. It certainly has sufficient ability to run any normal website in the world, I guess except this one and VT. You have moved so far into the future to become the only non functional website on my phone.

Nothing that I say is for any nostalgic or sentimental reason. This forums website is the least functional and least usable that it has ever been. It is the most difficult to use that it has ever been. And the VT has been absolutely unusable for about a year. It doesn't even try to load.

I am not blocking or disabling anything. Javascript and everything else are enabled. I am already forced to use a browser that I don't want to use so that cookies are not blocked. It is just so bloated and full of nonsense. It is requiring all of these resources for all of this nonsense that is in the background and doesn't even contribute to the user experience. Constant AI monitoring of every little element on every page to monitor whether or not they are loaded, when all of this bloat is exactly what is causing things to not load. I don't see any improvement anywhere on this forum. I don't see any feature that was added to make anything easier or more useful. I literally only see a long list of problems with no benefit and no improvement to anything. I am told rumors and emotional words about progress and moving towards the future. But I literally have not seen even one thing that is an added feature or improvement. Everything has been broken for nothing.

Writing comments is half way broken and half way unusable, with many small problems. Reactions are half way broken, choosing randomly to not work. I can't even copy and paste when writing a message, which I am able to do on any other website or any other app. The situation of logging in is horrible now and takes forever if cookies are not loaded. It is extremely difficult to get around in a topic to look for what comments I have not read yet, for the reasons of all of the comments being mixed around and out of chronological order and also because the scrolling keeps trying to snap to a specific comment and not letting me scroll away from it. I have to go through many pages of tabs just to get to the unread topics, and have to wait a long time for each page to completely finish loading before I can click the next button.

Every step of the way, every little thing that I try to do is ridiculously tedious and difficult either not working at all or barely working. When every other website except Home Depot is perfectly fine and nobody else gives these kinds of problems. AI slop and bloat is the way of the future, and having things that just simply work is the way of the past.

It keeps going to the same point which is that most people in the world do not all have the absolute newest iphone. So by making a website which does not work correctly on most people's phones, that is already excluding many of the people who we are trying to attract.

Nobody is saying that the software is perfect or finished, and so on, but some understanding and patience must be had, as well as respect for the efforts of HPA, TG Maelstorm, and others, who have contributed uniquely and at the expense of their personal lives.

Despite if you found an error in one area, ToZ needs these new changes. What is being built is not done for no reason, but with intention to meet the current and future needs of ToZ. The old software, even if it didn't have certain issues, also couldn't exist for what we need. Therefore, we could not stay with that software even if we wanted to.

Please help out and detail any specific problems to the dev team so they have a record and account of this. However, patience and understanding of ToZ's unique situation is also needed.

I have gotten a newer phone. It is not the newest one, but it is the newest model that I like with the features that I want. It certainly has sufficient ability to run any normal website in the world, I guess except this one and VT. You have moved so far into the future to become the only non functional website on my phone.

Nothing that I say is for any nostalgic or sentimental reason. This forums website is the least functional and least usable that it has ever been. It is the most difficult to use that it has ever been. And the VT has been absolutely unusable for about a year. It doesn't even try to load.

Thank you. I have been very patient as I sadly and disappointingly have been away for multiple months because of all of these problems. I come back to see if anything is improved or fixed, then find that there still are only problems. And not only bugs, but purposeful design choices to purposefully make some things more difficult to use than there were before.

I have described in very much detail to Maelstrom about many of these problems a few times. And every time the answer is to ignore me and throw my ideas in the garbage. I have been patiently waiting for all these months as I have been pushed away from here, and I have still not seen any improvements.

I am glad you had talked with TG Maelstorm, but even so, at the end of the day, there is only a reasonable expectation of general user support here. TG Maelstorm or ToZ are not obligated to implement any of your ideas beyond that.

You cannot say that you had been genuinely pushed out of here, if your hardware or software situation exceeds what is reasonable for the volunteer team to build support for.

Thank you. My hardware and software are perfectly fine. It is very uncommon for me to experience problems on any other website, and I am not the only person who has been experiencing problems here. It is not that everything is completely broken, but nothing is as easy to use as it should be.

I am not sure what else to advise or say that others have not already stated about purchasing a new mobile device or a dedicated system like a laptop or desktop to use.

I have used our site and platform on a wide array of laptops, desktops, a junk 2015 IMac that is EFI-Booted with Fedora, and various other things like my junk moto g mobile phone I have.

I have only experienced minor issues on mobile here and there or a glitch or two, but nothing like you describe, and these sites are not completely broken like you have stated.

If i can flip around here on any window manager and whatever configuration with three to four custom desktop computers, older laptop devices with different operating systems, two junk androids, an iphone, and whatever else, this leads me to believe you just need a new device.

I would just try to relax and think about the situation, and potentially get help from the IT team if issues on your end continue with other devices.
