What does this consist of and are there any people who practice here?

Demonolatry: The worship of demons and/or practicing magick with the aid of entities known as demons.

By the above definition Yes, however, it is a crude term, and Spiritual Satanist covers the above more respectfully, IMO.

We, as Spiritual Satanists work With the God's of Hell, and acknowledge them accordingly. Demonolatry/Demonology is corrupt in its various forms of practice, particularly those involving solomonic magick which is disrespectful and abusive to the God's & Our Father.

It is not a term I would use to describe Myself or My Workings alongside the Goetic Demons. Spiritual Satanist suits Me just fine.

I will just add my two cents to HP Lucius' comment. When I refer to the knowledge of our Gods, I usually use the word DemonoSOPHY. -logy... well, too but it may be too 'fantasy' oriented. Demonolatry... it sounds both Satanic and xian.

Satanic - we Do serve our Father by living to the fullest, evolving and working towards the annihilation of our foes.

xian - here, it sound as if Demons were evil and we would work towards this what the enemy is accusing us of while doing it.

Personally, I perceive the term the way EVERYBODY should in everything, in every place and in every piece of knowledge - OUR, SATANIC way.

We study the knowledge of/about the Gods, and not only this what is written in JoS, but the myths as well (and as I have seen, some of Them have shared more detailed info with us). We acquire the knowledge, the sophia, thus Demonosophy.

I wonder if there are diff types of energy workings that create a demon. Just what kinds of energies are we pulling form our surroundings when we make our auras? It can’t be just one thing.

Nice, Lucius and Siguard666. I am very interested in words and their origins and how their uses change (etymology). Some words are worth reclaiming, as the LBGT community has done with gay, dyke and queer. As a Pagan, I always referred to myself as Witch, not Wiccan, because what *I* practiced was not Wiccan. Sometimes a word or phrase is so far gone we need a new descriptive, sometimes too many new descriptives are fluffy non-threatening words that basically mean the same thing, for example, 'downsizing' instead of firing people.

I like Demonosophy. We are not blindly worshiping these beings, nor trying to curry their favour, but learning about them and working with them as friends.

Spiritual Satanist is a keeper, because it tends to open up the channels of communication. For a while I exclusively used Enki, and the explanation would be too huge for my listener not get bored. When your average person hears Satanist, they think you are either going to shoot up your school or eat kittens; someone a little informed may think of LaVey. I will sometimes refer to myself as a Byronic Satanist, because *that* philosophy also shapes me, and I get to talk about Father's influence in all the good stuff, Art, Music, Literature, and my favorite, science. All terribly rebellious in the eyes of the xian, which I will only write out if I have to - actually xian should not be offensive to xians, as this shorthand was used by their own.
