The first Zevist Symposium has been hosted on the Vultus Templorum platform yesterday, and it was a success in my book. The topic of Awareness Meditations was expanded upon, members shared their experiences, questions members had were answered, and based on feedback, everyone seems to have left the session more motivated to introduce the meditations into their routine, and with a clearer understanding of their benefits.
We started the evening with a prayer to the Gods to bless the endeavor, as well as to encourage both people in Vultus Templorum who struggle expressing themselves to come out of their shell, as well as members on the Forums to join the platform and take advantage of our social spaces. With 15 Zevists participating in this prayer and all contributing to the discussion we've had, we engaged in a 2 hour discussion where everyone had the floor to showcase their experiences, or to inquire about the topic. 9 members, whom I thank and appreciate, stuck with us to the very end.
I hope to see an even greater turnout next time, but I am positively impressed, and I hope everyone had a useful and enjoyable time.
To celebrate the first session, I will drop the important tidbits of information that were spoken in this Forum post, so that everyone can hopefully draw some of the benefits of our community event, as well as launch yet another poll, to decide the topic for the next Symposium.
For future Symposiums, both the contents of the discussion and the poll for the next session will be found as threads, exclusively on the Vultus Templorum platform. Join if you haven't already, as an activity like this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of benefits of being on the platform.
Symposion Zevistikon #1 Play-by-Play

Members were encouraged to share whether they had done Awareness Meditations, how they experienced them, what they struggled with, or why they had not done them.
A participant stated that Awareness Meditations had already existed in the 6 Month Program and had also been released through various Forums sermons and AMAs. He said he had performed them whenever they were released and practiced them daily, emphasizing consistency and describing them as strong, especially in advanced forms.
When asked for a favorite, he referenced a meditation linked to activating the legs and feet Chakras and described it as activating a “sexual circuit” from feet to head. He stated that similar techniques could be applied to the hand Chakras.
The host asked for clarification on real-life effects. The participant responded that it relates to sexual energy moving through the body from feet to head. He then referenced another practice called the Djed Pillar, describing it as “amazing,” stating that the lower triangle activates the sexual energy flow and the middle activates the heart.
The host felt it was needed to mention that it was advanced and said it took time for it to produce effects personally.
The host introduced an analogy comparing spiritual systems to martial arts, asking whether generating force uses only one part of the body. Members responded that it involves legs and full-body positioning. The host used this to explain that the triangles function similarly, allowing multiple components to work together as a whole.
A participant asked about progression through beginner, intermediate, and advanced stages. The earlier participant responded that they did not follow that progression strictly, as they had done earlier training and practices when released, and could jump from practice to practice more easily.
The host continued the analogy, stating that energy systems act together as coordinated units. Another participant summarized this as energy being directed through full-body coordination.
The host stated that the triangles involve directing energy between lower and higher aspects, described by another participant as movement from “lower chakras to higher ones,” which was affirmed.
The host then asked whether certain higher chakras share functions, such as the third eye and sixth chakra. Participants responded that they do share roles.
The host explained that when performing a role, these functions operate together as one system. Participants agreed. The host then exemplified this to connect it to meditating on awareness of the upper triangle, stating that it allows combined functioning of those chakras as a single system.
A participant introduced a personal practice described as an “energy filter” for handling negative energy and said it could be used in magical practice. Another participant stated it could also be used for draining energy in a harmful context. The host redirected discussion to aura-related framing and asked clarifying questions about how it works. The participant described it as using affirmations to filter energy intake.
Another participant stated it relates to aura perception and that energetic filtering can be understood as working with aura directly. Participants discussed whether they can feel or see aura, with some affirming they can and others saying they partially can.
A participant described experiencing headaches and seeing colored shapes during meditation. Another participant attributed this to “negative karma being released so it can be gotten rid of.” The host redirected and asked where the headaches were located, and the participant said they occurred in the forehead and other parts of the head, especially after advanced practices. Another participant responded that this is part of a cleansing process and said it improves afterward.
The host asked for a testimonial from another member, then invited another speaker to share. A participant stated they had not yet been able to make Awareness Meditations a consistent routine but had tried dot and circled dot meditation and reached up to five minutes of clear focus.
The host reassured them and asked why consistency had not been achieved. The participant said it was due to fluctuating schedules and fear of failing commitments.
Another participant stated they had used dot meditation extensively and described it as reducing thoughts and improving focus. They said it was used as preparation for other meditations.
The host asked about effects in daily life. The participant described improved mental clarity, structured thinking, and reduced compulsive behaviors.
The host asked whether they could separate instruments in music more clearly. The participant and others confirmed they could hear all instruments more distinctly and experience music differently.
The host stated that attention is heavily degraded in modern society and referred to it as “dopamine fried.” Another participant agreed and linked it to generational issues.
A participant stated they intended to teach meditation to a child. The host advised making it engaging and emphasizing benefits.
A participant asked whether void meditation could be replaced by dot meditation. The host responded that true void meditation is advanced, and that certain awareness meditations, like the Dot Awareness, can act as a fine substitute sometimes.
A participant described using dot meditation to reduce thoughts and prepare for void meditation practice.
The host stated that awareness meditations can function as foundational training and help with focus-related discipline.
The host stated that awareness meditations are essential foundational skills and that many people underestimate them.
NG Sonne stated that there are many things people miss and that it can be surprising how often this occurs, adding that it can leave them speechless.
Later, in response to discussion about motivation, NG Sonne stated that awareness meditations are not something done on the side, but are a core component of meditation practice.
In a separate exchange, NG Sonne responded to the idea that some people view the material as less valuable because it is free, stating that if it were part of a paid system it would be considered one of the first things worth acquiring.
NG Sonne later commented that people who are not engaging with certain materials are “missing out on a lot.”
NG Sonne also stated that a simple analogy could be made: that meditation practice is like learning to drive a car, where previously one was only pressing the gas without understanding control or direction.
When asked about motivation, NG Sonne reinforced that awareness meditations are central to practice and not supplementary, and later stated that they are “very real.”
NG Sonne also responded to a forum-related discussion by stating that there are many materials spread across forums and the site that people have never seen, and that without actively searching, they will not encounter them, such as the meditation from Thoth and the Palm Opening by Priest Alexandros.
NG Sonne later stated that without mastering basics, especially essentials, people may not be able to make higher rituals work effectively.
A participant described difficulty maintaining consistency due to schedule constraints. Another participant advised doing what is possible without pressure.
The final questions asked whether participants enjoyed the session, learned anything new, felt motivated to practice more Awareness Meditations or felt more inclined to engage with the community. A majority of the members affirmed these questions.
