Dicklaw, when I used thoth to open My third eye it took me some practice to get it. Back then I was not apart of these very supportive egroups and had to figure it out bymyself. I'm goin to save you some trial and error.
When you vibrate thoth just break it the mantra down. First start off by vibrating "th". Th as in thimble. "Th" is not a guttural sound but the "o" or "ah" is. Th is more of a hissing sound and a whisper combined.
Then practice making the "ah" sound. When you can hear the pronunciation inside yourself then you know you are doing it right. If you don't know what I mean by this then you should try vibrating the syllables in your head and then create a body/mind connection. Maybe try verbally vibrating it and then mentally vibrate it.
Now, once you go into a trance and begin the third eye chakra opening meditation vibrate thoth.
Th~th~th~thah~thah~thah~th~th~th. I recommend drawing the mantra out as long as you can. And make sure to feel the syllables in your body/mind and in your third eye.
This worked for me and I defintely felt My third eye when I was done. I also had quite the headache. Good luck dicklaw. I hope this doesn't cause any confusion. I may be wrong too.

Honestly mate It sounds nothing like Thoth. I've read other things claiming it is pronounced more like toe and that's easy enough to do. However I'm a very err detail oriented person and an easily angered one. it drives me crazy that I can't pronounce that is there any other way of opening the Third eye you know of? Sorry if I come across as a dick then again it's all in the name

You vibrate the th at the same time you vibrate the o.Don't worry if you don't say it right its the feeling of the vibration in the third eye that matters.
