Actually, I have had the same doubts.
Anyway, having no reply either, I went to Father Satan with the doubts and I believe the Solar chakra is like 6-7 centimeters above the navel and it's correct alignment is pointing down. Although, as you say, another HP's here have said it is to be pointed upwards. But, we all make mistakes, right? It just doesn't feel too natural to me to point it upwads.
All due respect to the HP's.
I never knew about alignment of the chakras, when I was in buddhism I used to visualize them like little suns with different colors, all placed like in the very front of my torso. Funny thing, other practices tell you half the story, not the complete/real instructions, but I know the real deal now. I know because now I have feelings / sensations that I never had before. I feel the energy and all, this never happened to me before. Let alone the fact that these other practices completely ignored the pineal gland to be the real 6th chakra.
As many others, I have gone through years and years of christianism, buddhism, hinduism, methaphisics, ahteism and the alike, getting / finding absolutely nothing in the end. Now, this knowledge Father gives us IS the real deal, so to speak.
Also, I have learned that the energy of the chakras located in the torso extend all through the torso (front, middle and back to the spine, that is, horizontally), as shown in the picture you kindly posted, front to back, all though the torso. I hope I am being clear. The crown, 3rd eye, 6th and throat chakras are easier to locate.
So, maybe you could practice by inhaling energy in, say, the solar plexus chakra, and in the exhale, visualize the chakra expanding to front and back. I do like that and the energy I feel is so real, its like a slight electric feel. Again, never felt it before.
Now, when I say "I went to Father Satan", is not that he talked to me (at least not yet), I "sense" his answers as if they are being whispered in my mind. As you know, we are all individuals and have different experiences / ways to feel / perceive our Father and the Demons. You will certainly find yours if you just keep going on with faith, love and persistence.
I do can tell you I have seen a man very bright and white, no wings, with arms extended downside, looking up to the sky, in front of me, and then just flying up very fast and dissapearing, but I don't know who that was. I made a drawing of him anyway, he was so beautiful.
Sometimes I have thought that you don't get many answers here because somehow our HP's really want us to go to Father, besides they are all very busy. I don't know, it's just a thought.
Also, take into consideration that many folks here will not reply, there are infiltrators here and discretion is advised, others really don't know what to say or advise. I do tell you, do not go for instructions through another chakra practices / books/ DVD's there are lots of those, unfortunately not correct. Just go to Father and somehow you will know what to do. It will come to you.
I hope I have not been too boring on trying to explain myself, just go on with faith and will, and always go to Father. He will tell you somehow. That, my friend, is a guarantee.
