Relationships Living with others

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator1 min to read

Am I the only one that sees people doing something really disregardful and irritating and thinks "what did I do to deserve this?". Like sometimes I see people and really get kind of angry at god for letting me live with these people.

How can I even learn to have a normal social life?

Hi, I think the way you're feeling is very normal. It can be very difficult to live with others and people can be very inconsiderate (intentionally or not), but there are reasons to living with others and we are social creatures. It helps to keep oneself busy with a hobby, and to have gratitude when you're feeling irritable or in a bad mood. Sometimes we need to step away and that's important. Having outdoor-related activities is extremely important, try to go for daily walks or weekly hikes - even enrolling in a sport, like baseball or softball, swimming or marital arts. It can be the most grounding thing that keeps your body healthy and your mind refreshed and stimulated.

If you're young, just have patience - with yourself and with others. It gets easier, I promise. 🙏

How can it get better?

There will always be andrapodas willing to waste their and other peoples lives over short conflicts that hurt their ego. And they are not few in number.

There are a lot of people like this yes, but not all people are like this. Do your best to elevate out of this situation and attract more like minded people. Wasting your mental energy on how these people bother you isn't worth it. Focus on keep a good mindset for yourself, otherwise these people hold way too much power over you.

First of all, start by not being angry at the Gods. This is part of life, this is part of growing. Remember that destruction is easier than creation.

Second, our "job" as a Zevist is too improve the world around us. It won't change if you keep getting angry at the Gods.

Hello :)

It isn't that our Gods "let" or "made" you live with them. You are where you are due to your karma (cause and effect) and current lack of personal power in that specific area of your life.

We have our lives and fate, we need to increase our personal power and shape our lives to be better. Rise up in your career and income, get your own home. Or get better flatmates if you can't afford your own home yet. Use magick, use social networking, use information.

In fact your living situation might be even worse if not for our Gods looking out for you, and you repay them by being angry at them? That is the mindset of a lower human. You are a Zevist, you have all the tools available in ToZ to gain a clearer perspective 🙏

This is the targeted message.

The Gods do not actively intervene in our lives. They only do by guidance when sincerely contacted for help. Every single human on Earth is precisely where he/she is due to a combination of karmic and astrological patterns and predispositions, personal actions and collective actions.

Due to religions such as Christianity and Islam, it has become very convenient for people blame "God" / the Gods for their shortcomings and mistakes, but this is not how reality works. We are 100% responsible for our actions and as such we will also bear the consequences, be them positive or negative.

On the question "what did I do to deserve this", people do not go through their lives based on what they deserve or not, a multitude of things that happen in our lives are out of our direct control. What is in your control clearly is what you can change yourself with your efforts and with the guidance of the Gods when requested.

About social life clearly you need to get along with those around you, be in public, have friends to spend time with etc.

I think what you've raised concerns feeling powerless in your circumstances. High Priestess Lydia Coventina has given really great practical advice that personally saw me through a tough time with others too.

I recommend also, to have a normal social life, you could learn how to self-regulate and become more resilient, avoid resorting to blaming external sources for your emotional reactions. While it is true that things do affect us, we are obligated to choose to respond in more constructive ways and with the goal to have greater understanding. It is easier said than done in the beginning so it is important to have patience with yourself and judge your reactions like a neutral observer. You can also affirm daily and when necessary that you are emotionally stronger and more in control of your reactions in a positive and healthy way for you. It helps to remember sometimes, "not my circus, not my monkeys", you can't control external events only your internal reactions (which is what has the biggest impact on your being and personal development). Studying the wonderful series by High Priestess Lydia Coventina on The Yoga Sutras by Patanjali, particularly the edition about The 4 Locks and 4 Keys, and 6 Oars (Sutras 1.32-1.40) will help to develop a healthier mindset and be detached from what will bring you down.
