what is negative energy then?
energy CAN be black.
When you
ripped the energy of your enemy's aura numerous times, it automatically turns into a sick grey and black.
When amassing death energy from cemetery, it CAN be black/dark/grey.
Using words of power along with visualizing creates more better results in cleaning the aura i.e RAUM, SATANAS,
SURYAE, ALGIZ, SAUIL (SOWILO).

First of all, energy is NOT black.
And black and grey energy is used in black magic. Black for causing trouble, curses and grey to cloak the other person and to make em suffocate and die.
The point being with energy is that it dilutes first before it cleans. This means the energy is not properly destroyed/removed.
This is not the most effective way of cleaning.
That is why we visualize LIGHT on the being. Light, like from the sun, is made of waves. It moves very fast and it can penetrate thin things like sheets of paper, tree leaves.
it is a kind of energy though. Now I had a question about how to do aura cleaning properly and I was told to visualize the Light destroying the negative energy. It works really well. On a note though, for beginners, don't try to visualize negative energy, it should not be your main point of focus. Also, the more you do this (or spend longer time on it) deeper related problems will show up. Those have to be dealt with as well.
Now here is something I would like to suggest however. Sometimes there are things that don't want to get loose, there are various things you could try.
For this you visualize an orb of light, the light is not of the sun but blue/aether like, to its outer rims it seems white though. Now move the orb over the area.
You will most likely have to clean your chakra's after this though. Perhaps not immediately.
