I think it’s just harmful. It’s clear that if one person wants to commit suicide if the other breaks up with them, that person is mentally ill. You have to heal from a relationship like that, not make the person’s mental state worse. I’m sure it would lead to exhaustion. It’s a matter of self-respect.

Yeah, no, it doesn't. In all likelihood, the partner develops an even more toxic obsession from the lovebombing and the inevitable fallout becomes a thousandfold worse. This isn't a Hollywood romcom. Altho that might be for advanced people. Another method you can do which work pretty well for me in the past is to visualize the connections as strings wrapped or tethered around you amd the other person, now visualize those strungs burning and getting cut, similar to how a yarn is cut when you light one part of it on fire but this time the fire cuts the spiritual strings and not only cuts it but the fire actually continue to burn and consume the strings similar when you light up a wick or fuse, the string gets vaporized both ways until it reaches your soul and the other persons soul tyat the strings becomes completely gone, I read this method many years ago in the JOS and used it but I can't find it anymore. And as the strings dissapear you affirm:

The main reason I said anything was because I had a friend who was in the same situation with a Russian girl who did actually attempt suicide for him and after he tried to make her fall out of love she left and they moved on.

Just because you’ve seen this advice and it worked doesn’t mean it’s right.
I don’t know who followed it, but basically I can say they don’t have much self-respect.
You deal with a threat by cutting ties with the person, not by making the situation worse.

This is a situation that’s already troubling the person asking the question, which is why they posted anonymously on the forums, so it’s only right that they receive better advice that can truly free their soul and mind from this burden.
Never take anything lightly; often these situations can worsen drastically, and the consequences are obvious.
