I think it’s just harmful. It’s clear that if one person wants to commit suicide if the other breaks up with them, that person is mentally ill. You have to heal from a relationship like that, not make the person’s mental state worse. I’m sure it would lead to exhaustion. It’s a matter of self-respect.

The best thing one can do in this situation is inform who you can and them make space. Don't contact them, stay at a distance, cut the cord. Block them on your socials if you must. If they ever cared about their partner, they should understand that playing games and lingering around is the wrong thing to do by them. And besides, this isn't even factoring in the emotional toll it would take on the boyfriend.

No real man in his right mind would waste his time doing this toxicity. I'm not sure what kind of bitter and hateful phase you seem to be going through, but you need to meditate and read our Ethics.
