And with processing power of over several thousand billion operations/calculations per day, and having sensor network bigger than Kaspersky, Bitdefender and the rest, it sucks up traffic and scans for malicious intent.
Avast network is massive as well [especially with acquisition of AVG and Piriform], but it can be tricked even with lockdown settings, resulting with bypass.....
It is an interesting world..... Even with 1 second of reading this, there is hundreds of thousands of attacks [world threat map of AV providers show a grim, but incoplete picture]....
