I promised I would write this for all the women out there. I wanted to let them know what will happen and to not be afraid. I hope this inspires women to not be afraid of this topic anymore.
I went in for my abortion on Samhain. It was the only day they had open to see me. I drove 2 hours to a Planned Parenthood clinic, the only one that offered abortions in this state. As soon as I parked and got inside, I filled out my paper work and had to wait a little bit. After running several tests on me, including an ultrasound, I was seen by a doctor, yes a doctor, who gave me several medications to take.
I decided to go through the medicine induced abortion because I wanted to be at home and not have to drive back in pain.
After 24 hours of taking my first pill, I took the next four which brought about my cramping. I was on some heavy painkillers and they were considered narcotics. At first I started cramping really bad, like imagine your worst period and times it by 3 bad. It was extremely painful for 6 hours. I passed out in between cramping as my body could not handle it. I was not sure if I was hallucinating or not, but I swear I saw Lilith sitting beside me. She was there the entire time as I ran a high fever and cramped even more. My fiance was also there, making sure I was covered up when I was cold.
It is important to have another person with you. Don't go into this alone. I did not pass blood clots immediately once the cramping started. It took me 4 days to get everything out. However, the cramping did stop after 6 hours.
The next morning I was exhausted. My body was aching and I took the day off of work to relax and sleep. I had occasional emotional outbursts, mainly agony from all the pain and sadness from what happened. However, the next day I was so much better. I was eating again and happy. As the weeks went on (I'm on my second week after the abortion now) I felt better and better. I am back to my usual self now. I am going to have an ultrasound this weekend to make sure everything is out.
Thank you to everyone who supported me and I hope this will help some women when they need information. Don't listen to the bullshit that christians post.
