What exactly is Scientology?

I have heard about this absurd cult/new age bullshit called Scientology.
But I have no idea what it is, could somebody please tell me what it is?

It's pretty easy to look up.

I will say though, that the creator of Scientology was clever, and used aliens in his story. Which obviously exist. Making it somewhat sci-fi and would appeal to some people in this post Star Wars Star Trek generation. But the main purpose of scientology is control - and to give its founder and his clergy a LOT OF MONEY.

It's not much in the way of Spirituality. But is that a surprise? It's all over Hollywood. They would never allow a TRULY Spiritual system to flourish.

Satan's Power is needed for such a thing.
