Will it work? Or will people rebel against the Government for such a choice, as if you take away their food? 🤔

Personally, I would not ban it, but I would heavily propagandise against smoking and other harmful substances (alcohol, drugs, etc.).

It will be socially acceptable to criticise people who smoke and drink alcohol, and it will be absolutely frowned upon as an action.

This can be counteracted by raising prices. But in time, there will not even be a memory of the existence of cigarettes or anything else.

If one is stupid, he will be able to destroy himself with tobacco and alcohol, life is his own.
But these poisons will not be promoted, they will be publicly attacked and anyone who smuggles these substances will receive large fines or even jail time.

Essentially, anyone who uses them will be seen as a low soul, there will be many concessions to stop consuming poisons.
On the other hand, those who smuggle them will be seen as enemies of the people.

In time the business of tobacco, alcohol, etc. will disappear.

To give you a shorter answer, I do not forbid it, but I direct the world to hate it until it disappears forever.

Well banning something makes it more attractive, "rebellious", "cool" etc.
What is needed is a proper explanation as for why something is not good and also present good alternatives. Too bad the best alternatives (as we all know of here such as meditation, yoga exercises etc.) are not presented to the public as much as it should have been.

I think a main reason for so much smoking of illegal drugs is that it's illegal and presented as cool and rebellious in rap videos etc. The most rebellious thing today is to be drug free, even though I think some drugs may be useful for some people as long as it does not involve inhaling burned material.

Just make it too expense to buy.

It doesn't seem like a good idea, they will sacrifice a large part of their salary anyway, doing so.

I would not judge these businesses so harshly. Instead of them disappearing, I would wish them to evolve and improve. But if you don't evolve you might as well disappear. Even the hydrocarbon fuel businesses I think will be replaced with nuclear fuels.

The fact that they allow these advertisements in songs and films, and that they pretend they cannot stop drugs means that they are interested in the money from it.

However, some things must be banned. Such as driving a car drunk or drugged, not so much because he might die but because he would kill others and this cannot be allowed.

Smoking has many positive qualities OP. Ask yourself who told you smoking was bad? And why in an otherwise degenerate atmosphere with far more awful things people do and even argue it's healthy like pornography does the system still focus on smoking?

But even ignoring the obvious, nicotine itself has many qualities that improve cognitive function, reduce estrogen, promote metabolic increase, and actually wards off developing certain kinds of cancer. Everyone should smoke, dogs and children should smoke. Maybe not cigarettes, but that's like comparing a steak to a McDonald's cheeseburger.

Or look at coffee. No-one says coffee is bad for people.

It really comes down to personal preference at this point, but I understand your point there.

Both are bad for health and not necessary for healthy functioning of Human being in any way whatsoever. You do you, but do not propagate falsehoods being okay here.

Like a 30% tax on it.

Make 1 pack cost $100 and we’ll see how badly people need dem cancer stixxx

This would completely ruin the companies in question, no one would want to pay taxes of 90€ for a packet of cigarettes. And it still would not solve the problem, people would find illegal alternatives or attack the government.

There are many things to be fixed. Noise pollution is also a problem and will be solved with quiet engines and anti-noise technology. But that is not the point.

Nicotine is an alkaloid like caffeine and if nicotine has beneficial effects in certain doses then let it be taken in better ways like supplements for example. Carbon dioxide is bad for you, that is a fact.
