Well I feel in the FB trap

The only real reason I use facebook is to keep in contact with friends and family. However after reading this, I am going to delete my facebook period, and do the best to revoke any information I may have on there.
My question is though, what if I made a new account but with a false name and all false information with no real connection to my real self? Just to keep in touch with family that lives across the world (asia). Or is the fact that my IP address is traceable (thru gov't computers mostly) still a conflict?

It could be possible they could track you if you use the same comp.?

Maybe. Create a shadow acct.
