Does anyone else find it easy to visualize with their eyes opened. I visualize better with eyes open.

Visualization comes naturally to me too, and I see sometimes people in this group write that they have problem visualizing and it's pretty weird for me. I can't imagine how it is not being able to visualize, for me it's like not being able to think or walk.

But these daydreams are a big problem when meditating. When you try to clear your mind completely and remove them, you make it it more stressed. I've found the best way to meditate for me is concentrate at what I need to concentrate and having the daydreams in the background and letting them go on on their own. I've gained control of my mind by meditating this way and nothing important bothers me now. For anyone having problem with daydreams or discursive thoughts, try this.

Lol I just learned that trick on my own this past month. Forcing my mind to go blank only works for a few seconds. But what you just wrote works perfectly, the daydreams just fade out on their own, and fairly quickly.

Same here. I had ADHD-PI (primarily inattentive) as a child, so I was quite the daydreamer. I can see just as much detail in daydreams/visualizations as I can with my physical eyes, in my mind with my eyes open or closed.

Same with me. I often go daydreaming and it distracts me when I try to do it with eyes closed, but I have no such problem visualizing with eyes open.

It has always depended for me. Sometimes I use one of those sleeping masks to block out light and that works well. Other times I find that the visualizing works better without blocking the light and just closing my eyes. The power meditation, where you suck in energy, works really good anytime anywhere even with my eyes open now. It took me a lot of practice, though. I think somethings are easier for some people for some reason. Like they haven't been as severely disconnected with the energy current in and all around. Or maybe you are a really good day dreamer and are used to visualizing with your eyes open.

Hail Lucifer! }:)

I know what you mean Diznit.I thought i was th only one who did that..I let the other thoughts fade in the backround. I ignore it. Visualisation is one of my best qualities in meditation! I do it daily. Like when im cleaning my chakras and meditating on my chakras I keep my eyes open and feel and see them bright in their natural color..its great.
