I just started working out. I go to an expensive health club. The facilities are great but the trainers are these mirror-poser plastic-person, dip-shits. All they want to do obviously is to break anybody down that has to start from scratch and they have absolutely no idea how to put together a work out program that an individual can do without that individual being so sore that they eventually quit going. 1. Talk to your doctor in order to very clearly conceptualize the care that you need to take in order to avoid injuring your existing operation injury. Have them recommend a work out program and stick to that until he/she tells you that you can do something else. 2. Make "sure" your doctor is "made" aware of any program you do after he/she gives you the approval to begin hatha yoga again.3. Means the doctor probably doesn't know shit about nutrition or health, set up a stretching program. Each exercise should be done very carefully and gently. Don't do many repetitions. Five is a good number. Only go until you feel the stretch.4. The point in doing exercises is so that you, the spiritual self, is in "communication" with your body. It's not about busting your butt to be Americas next best plastic person, mirror poser. Several years ago, I spent a week at the library and designed my own program that incorporates all 4 types of crunches, and stretches every part of the body. It puts me more and more into "communication" with my body. That is your goal. Only a mat is required - no equipment.5. I should be ready to start lifting weights soon. For that; the rule is to burn out in between 8-12 repetitions i.e. full muscle fatigue (can't do another one). This is done slowly. The slower you do it, the safer it is. The first one is "wake up call". It produces muscle fatigue, but it's not the maximum weight you can do. The second set is the maximum. The 3rd is the maximum but because of the previous muscle fatigue its less.6. Stretching and recovery... 4 days a week.Hope this helps and good luck!
