Spirit weed

In my book of basic herbs by Rahsan Abdul Hakim it says "if spirit weed is picked when the moon and planets are in certain signs it makes one invisible" Is this true?It says the nations of Jamaica used it against the British and the British reported they could not see anyone as if the trees were fighting them.
