Religion going extinct and catholic cover ups

I found this website and here is a report on religion going extinct! It is an old post but it made me happy after a very shitty day.
My mother hates catholics and we were talking about scandals and the subject came up of how they used to force young single women and teenage girls to give up their babies in Australia by force, it was covered up. She said the catholic run hospitals were the worst for it and then she told me... she heard years ago that when a lot of the nuns and clergy 'cracked up, went bonkers, and basically lost their minds' the churches had their own secret 'places' to take them away too... to be hidden away from the public so noone would know. I was googling to try and find more infomation and found this instead.

A study using census data from nine countries shows that religion there is set for extinction, say researchers.

The study found a steady rise in those claiming no religious affiliation.

The team's mathematical model attempts to account for the interplay between the number of religious respondents and the social motives behind being one.
