re strange e mails, friend requests and other attempts at linking

I read recently re we are under heavy attack and someone else posted to be wary of people coming out of nowhere trying to make connections to you. Like an old acquaintance suddenly re-appearing, or some stranger suddenly wanting to be buddies. Well, recently I have been getting 'friend' and other link up requests from strangers who are without on different social medias as I have several. Don't know how they even get my addresses? ALL of my places are being hit up like this, I never got anything like it in the past. I don't exactly have a large network as I'm not the most internet focused flower in the bunch. Just noticing this. Be careful who you link to.
