But that really is interestng... Though it would make sense since a friend of mine being capricorn.. His life truly does suck to put it bluntly, not saying its all negative he has good times just the majority.. Not so good.

No, not really. Just go to astro.com , click on free horoscopes and then horoscope drawing and calculation and then chart drawing, ascendant. Put your data and time of birth and see your chart it generates. Your ruling planet is the one which rules your ascendant sign. Note: it has nothing to your SUN sign which you said is virgo. For example if you have Taurus ascendant like me then your chart ruler is Venus. If you have other planets in your first house then these are your co-rulers.

Also, don't confuse that, your friend having his SUN sign a capricorn has nothing to do with that. It's nothing more than the sign his natal sun is in. Even if he had capricorn as his ASCENDANT, like siguard posted wrote his Saturn behaves differently and is not a malefic if it is his chart ruler.

Saturn does not have some sort of intelligent design behind is. That's the point you're missing. It's designed to cause us negative things and Saturn's influences are random. It doesn't choose just to give us hardships witout killing us. Saturn CAN and DOES kill us. Hardships do make them stronger, but serious diseases, permanent effects on our health (like being handicapped) and death do not. All these are caused by Saturn.
