This is a meme I created about the state of Swedish Hiphop.
The 1994 example are lyrics from the Swedish group "Latin Kings" album "Welcome to the suburb".
Their lyrics back then was true to the purpose of Hiphop; rapping about the misery of a criminal lifestyle with drugs etc. and striving to get out of it.

The 2024 example is from a Swedish "gangstarap" music video, showing the opposite of what true Hiphop is.
The opposite of true Hiphop is about striving to get INTO misery and criminality, seeing it as something cool instead of uncool like The Latin Kings clearly did.

The main source of this transformation of Hiphop are the ones who promote gangstarap and criminality.
No need to wonder much about who those are.
