Just kinda popping by new email now the old one got compromised sometime around 3 years ago I believe.
This current iteration of the forums is wildly different from what I remember. Will take some getting used to if I jump back on the public group presence again.

How did your email get compromised?

That was due to my own cyber security failures.
Which was when I set up the JOS mirror I reused my email password for the domain host password and while it wasn't initially compromised the host just had a fit and I couldn't renew or even save the domain name it eventually led to loosing the email I had associated with everything.
The server logs from all of that we're fascinating though have a huge insight on how they try to take everything down and from where the attacks take place from

Ok so the JoS mirror was deployed to a separate domain and the files were also hosted on an independent server. The server with everything I had a simple firewall running with extensive logs set to record everything that wasn't coming in through ports 80 or 443 (http/s web traffic).
A lot of failed attempts came from various embassies Israel was banned outright from even seeing the site iirc and with it not having been as widespread as the main JoS that year it managed to stay up when the kids was ddosed or there wasn't enough resources out of country to hit both sites and the mirror never hit 100% completion

???

These embassies didn't use a vpn to mask their IP? Maybe you were able to identify the real IP with wireshark or something similar? Odd. Interesting they'd have addresses from israel, since they're definitely not the only government monitoring this place.

So what, you were active behind the scenes then, and took a hiatus?
