Other I'm under 18, what are some lessons I should learn before I grow as an adult?

I'm 15, and I joined this forum to learn the ways of the Zevist and how to properly worship my gods. I'm an omni-paganist, and I believe in multiple pantheons. So what can (and should) I take away from this?

To be patient with yourself and know you don't know everything; inquire into learning and keep learning constantly.

Everyday is opportunity of growth for yourself, use it from this age and let no days slip from your hands that you didn't grow in some way.

Accept life's challenges. They are there to grow you.

Don't expect to find all answers immediately about yourself. 15 to 28 is an age where you might still be finding a lot of things. Be open.

Not everything in this life is fair, but many things are. In order to understand what is fair, this is the largest question of life.

You can attain a great deal in this life if you don't scatter your energy and attention. Learn early to not scatter it, and you will give yourself more blessings.

The Gods are real, and the more you approach them as such, the more they will approach you as such.

Good luck and may you be blessed.

Welcome! I think anyone would find lots of valuable life lessons and information in the Temple of Zeus' ethics and philosophy regardless of belief. Being so young, it would definitely benefit you greatly to familiarise yourself with the website! 🙏

About what to take away, what immediately came to mind for me is 'The Ascent of the Soul' text, which really emphasises how Zevism specifically helps one be more aware of their inner development over a lifetime of actualisation. Through this knowledge, we are able to take control of our destiny through just action and wisdom, in alignment with Good Order and Ma'at.

Hello. In terms of believing in multiple pantheons, this is definitely a valid endeavor. Zevism represent all of the ancient pantheons, as all ancient cultures across the world were the cultures of the same Gods.

In regards to the doctrines of Zevism these are a few tips that will definitely help you on long term:

  • As Ài Gōng mentioned above following the Ethics of Zevism and aligning yourself with the Gods and Ma'at, which means to live in justice, balance, health and prosperity.

  • If you are a dedicated Zevist you can build yourself a meditation program as Ài Gōng also mentioned above and also join our Gods rituals schedules. For people your age it is highly recommended to start very gradually, with perhaps 1 vibration for each rune instead of 10. Same with meditation and yoga, if you are going to meditate or do yoga in the close future start very gradually and perhaps do less than the initial instructions advise.

The path to adulthood is not only a religious path but also a path of integrating and establishing yourself in society and real life. Some tips that will help building your personality and facilitate success in life:

  • Start practicing some degree of movement to keep the body in shape. This may include joining a gym, or a sport club, running, swimming or other exercises that you prefer and see fit for yourself.

  • Become a disciplined person. This is a rather vague/wide statement but there are multiple things you can do in order to boost discipline: join a fighting school or club, which will boost not only discipline but also confidence in yourself. If you play videogames, teach yourself to limit the time spent on them to within healthy limits (perhaps one to two hours a day maximum is a good limit). Same with social media usage.

  • Become an independent person: this does not mean to separate yourself from people around you, but to master the basic things that you will need in life. Learn how to use any kitchen appliance, how to do basic cooking, basic hygiene and how to take proper care of yourself.

  • Avoid any addiction. As much as possible avoid getting into abusive habits as these are ruining people's lives on longterm, including addiction to alcohol, drugs, smoking and others.

  • Build social life, establish healthy friendships with other people;

  • This may sound difficult at this age but knowing from now what you will want to do in life in terms of career will set you up with a clear goal from a very early age, but do not stress if you are not sure at this time as you still have a lot of time to figure out.

The above may look like a lot of information so I highly advise to not start following everything to the letter but start very slowly, get yourself first familiar with the ToZ website, read from it as time allows you, and only make decisions when you are fully confident and convinced of them.

Welcome to the Temple of Zeus!

It's good to see someone your age taking an interest in the Gods and wanting to learn more about them.

Since you mentioned believing in multiple pantheons, one thing you might find interesting about Zevism is how we understand the Gods across different ancient cultures. Different civilizations often worshipped the same Gods under different names, although their traditions and ways of understanding them could differ.

I'd recommend reading The Original Gods & Daemons and First Steps in Zevism. These should help you understand our perspective and how to begin approaching the Gods.

As for worshipping them properly, sincerity, respect and learning about them are good places to start. You don't need to know everything or rush into complicated practices. Take your time reading, ask questions whenever something is unclear, and get to know the Gods you feel drawn to.

May the Gods bless you and guide you on your journey!
