Greetings!
So, after whats like 10+ years, I finally blocked all porn in all of my device, and it feels pretty miserable to be honest. Tried nofap for a while(Im past four weeks now), it went without any major problem, but this... I know, dopamine reset and all, but life feels so boring and gray now, and I even found some troubling articles that it might wont work and dopamine receptors never truly resets after it. So, can someone help a bit making this endurable? Its only a week passed yet.

While porn should be avoided in my opinion, masturbation is something that is extremely healthy and advisable from a scientific POV (helps reduce stress levels, improves sleep, provides a safe way of experiencing pleasure, hormone release). Do not pay attention to anything the enemy religions say about masturbation or sexuality for that matter, as their suppression of sexuality is the reason for so much deviance within their clergy. You can see this in the Catholic Church and their priests who are always involved in sexual scandals, which is no surprise considering that denomination of Christianity is the most suppressive one when it comes to sexuality.

Of course, make sure to masturbate regularly, not obsessively. You can use your imaginations, and even images of attractive men/women (single) where a single person wears something attractive and bit revealing.

Sexual release is necessary. Do it using your imagination or with a real person.
Problem is, over a decade porn heavily infuenced my imagination, and every time I tried I just fell back to porn

You're not supposed to go no fap mode, but to pleasure yourself without extreme external stimulation from porn.
Thanks, Ill read it

If porn is the best or most important thing in your life, that sounds like a very sad life. Find some hobby, practice some skill, learn about something new. Either find or create something good in your life for you to be happy about.

Some suggestions:
-Exercise(highly recommend)
-Sex(or relationship, love in general)
-A goal
-Imagination
-Lucid dream
-A hobby(I know it's cliche but I wanted to point that out)

Porn is one of the worst things you can watch. Its legit a brainwashing tool that’s no different from any hard drug out there.

Quitting porn will never be a dull experience or a gray moment in your life.

Give it some time and gradually you’ll feel better.

I avoid porn at all costs and it has benefited me greatly.

Use your imagination to your fullest potential without having anything related to porn, which is most definitely possible.

Not watching porn is gonna benefit you greatly, and you won’t have a need for it at all, you just need some time.

I suggest avoiding anything related to porn, and i literally mean ANYTHING, not even stuff that’s not technically pornographic but still in the same boat.

Watching porn doesn’t benefit you or anybody, and every click you give them gives them money and you’re essentially funding human trafficking organizations that benefit from making the most unnatural shit be “taboo and fun”. That “taboo and fun” is all a gateway for people to express the most vile shit imaginable, having “teen” as the main theme is absolutely horrid.

Stop giving them power, plain and simple

The whole point is to rewire the brains reward system into productivity with positive reinforcement.

What you describe is called the flat line phase, its part of the healing process. This is where you settle the roots for better things.

Pick up a hobby or skill. Even get into reading as this helps ground the mind.

I have a lot of hobby, create and learn a lot, and exercise and do yoga beyond my limit. None brings me joy. Just another thing I must practice daily, else I would waste all what I achived so far and what talent I have already for them.

You should not be doing things beyond your limit. If you are overworking and harming yourself. You need to find a good balance. Get enough time to rest, sleep, and heal. And if you don't enjoy the things you are doing, maybe find something else instead.

There arent. The things that makes me better, stronger, more useful are hard and not enjoyable to do. The things that feels good are waste of time or even harmful. but these times nothing feels good. Like, I finally mastered pigeon pose, nothing. Got the degree from geology. Nothing. I might got a job that pays well and interesting for me. Nothing. Im more muscular than ever before. Nothing. Just gray wasteland

Not getting your usual dopamine can make you bored but you'll adjust and will find enough dopamine in other / "smaller" things. I also need some dopamine detox.

Definitly a good idea, but have to warn you, during it its nothing. Not bad, but all feels uninteresting and futile, which isnt much better than just bad feeling. And I found no tips at all anywhere, how to make it significantly shorther or easier sadly

@DarkAries you could try using tour imagination gradually. You might not get an erection/wet and get bored. Stop. Do something else. When the urge for porn starts again. Touch yourself. If you don't go far. Stop. Just gradually work your body back to being aroused without porn. I think one of the benefits of using imaginations is that when you actually have sex it's more satisfying whether male or female. I also think orgasm from imagination is usually the more satisfying than from erotic materials. Also. Allow yourself to relapse sometimes. Even cigarrettes isn't quit cold turkey I think I read somewhere. Anyways. Focus on the likelihood of having better sex with a partner and better orgams from masturbation through imagination. Who knows. With imagination you may even focus your mind on someone you never even knew was atttactive and receptive all these while and maybe your orgasm might just be the magic to make them manifest. May the Gods of Hell guide us all. Hail Satan.

I have just finished it. I am now free of any porn addiction.

But yes, the section of the nofap is totally dumb.

Not sure why but it seemed this thread opened up a lot of members to read this. I'm almost done with the book and I also agree with that it has valuable info in regards to the brain and dopamine stimuli not just from porn but anything else we are ourselves have trouble giving up because we perceive mundane things as pleasurable. I won't get too much into it and save it for another thread with this specific topic. I still have the rest to read after all.

Great read on addictions from a perspective not yet explored fully but we all know deep down is poison.

I agree with you, this method can also be applied to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Disney +, Netflix...

There should be other activities that we should do to relax than social media or movies, if you were once addicted.

Brother, can you share some dopamine detox tips that you're okay with sharing?

Void meditation and light cleaning when needed throught the day is what I have so far.

You didn't ask me but intensive cardio remains one of the most powerful ways to detox from anything.
Like intense as fuck cardio.
I am not sure anything else even compares, maybe like a 2 hour hatha yoga session.

I wouldn't be able to say better than HPS Lydia https://ancient-forums.com/threads/spiritual-reset-day-dopamine-detox-day.91725/
Some things I would say also depends on the individual, you have to listen to your higher self and the Gods. Natural source of dopamine can include working out, meditations like beautiful meditation from Zeus, reaching goals, having success in anything... Dopamine from any positive / beneficial activity is very good for you.

I think I know what you mean by the cardio thing. I have noticed the "runner's high" makes me grounded and extremely calm.

Thank you.

I happen to pass by a passage from Marcus that I think will be helpful to this topic. It is in regards to stress and the lies we have told ourselves when we seek a crutch.

I know there's more to this porn thing but with the EasyPeasy method and this passage I believe they both help the mind.

"Its normal to feel pain in your hands and feet, if you're using your feet as feet and your hands as hands. And for a human being to feel stress is normal- if he's living a normal human life.
And if it's normal, how can it be bad?"
-Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, Book 6, 33.

Al Jilwah: Chapter IV

"It is my desire that all my followers unite in a bond of unity, lest those who are without prevail against them." - Shaitan
