How do we do Sat Kriya effectively?

I have had some experience doing breath work before I dedicated (such as daily Wim Hoff and other similar forms of daily breathing practices) so progressing through the basic kundalini program has been going quite well, but I still don’t understand the last kriya where we chant Sat Nam. And I feel like I’m doing it completely wrong

I have tried a few different ways and it never feels like I’m doing it right while everything else feels quite right for me.

Can somebody please explain this Kriya to me or drop a link to a nice explanation?

I mainly don’t know how I’m supposed to be breathing when chanting Sat Nam, or if it really even matters how I breath as long as I’m pulling the stomach in and directing energy up. Maybe it is supposed to just be done with a natural breath?

When I try to say Sat I just can’t physically inhale simultaneously. Idk I must be doing something wrong or completely missing the point here. I have tried to search for myself but haven’t found much yet to clear this up. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Speaking while inhaling (pulmonic ingressive speech) is something most cultures don't have. British Isles and Scandinavia have this, and a few Eastern parts of America and Canada from those cultures still have it.

Practice it (now that you know what it's called you can look it up online to learn how to do it, although I doubt it can be easily learned if it's not something you grew up with), or say Sat Nam mentally.

Thank you HPS, I will practice this now that I have more clarification. Saying it mentally actually did seem to work ok. I will continue to practice out loud as well because I would like to learn this technique. I am grateful to know this now
