Take it slow. You have to exercise your mental muscle. Watch a digital clock for 1 minute. Watch something for 2,then 5, then 10. Find any creative way. Read 2 books one that interests you and the other not so much. Watch long movies things like that. Listening to my breath helps me a lot. I'm still not an expert but hope I helped

Many people think just because they hear their body snoring its not working. HELLO if you are awake enough to HEAR you body snoring and you body is snoring that means your mind is awake (aware) and you body is asleep (snoring/relaxed/ASLEEP). If you can get to this stage (its a lot easier than is sounds) all you need to do is committ the Mindless (void) meditation, thinking of the empty space above your head WILL send you deeper and in an aware state.
