Hermetics validity

I apologize for bothering you maxine but I came across a book called the kybalion and was curious as to its validity as well as the general validity of most available information on hermetics. Is it worth reading and investing time in? From what ive heard so far it seems to be with the exception of a few small things but I wasn't sure if whats available would be too heavily corrupted to be of use or not.
