The Gods Gods help...

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator2 min to read

Greetings to everyone!

Over the past few days, I have found myself in situations where I desperately needed the Gods' help. I am still relatively new to this path, so please forgive me if my questions are flawed or have already been answered.

I have seen references to the Gods' help in discussions on this forum and occasionally in articles. To be honest, I haven't been able to find precise answers to my questions. I would greatly appreciate it, and would be very happy, if you could answer them.

1) Is the Gods' help purely a matter of mental guidance? I have often seen people say that the Gods do not do things for us themselves, but rather guide us. If this is not the whole picture, could you please explain the different ways in which the Gods help us?

2) How can we genuinely feel that we are having a spiritual connection with the Gods? In other words, is it actually possible to experience a distinct feeling or sensation from the Gods while performing a religious practice?

3) How much spiritual progress do I need to make before I can receive the Gods' help? Based on what I have learned from you so far, I believe I should be practicing the Pythagorean Meditation. Is that correct?

Thank you all in advance for your time and guidance. I sincerely appreciate any help you can offer.

  1. Besides that, they might also offer direct providence if the situation is dire, or even on their own aside of that, but not when you feel you are in a dire situation, where desperation must give place to patience and wisdom.

  2. Yes, it is possible, that not might always be the case due to personal limitation, but personal feeling of void or hype must to not be confused to actual signs or ignoring. The Gods are ever present.

1.The help of the Gods is not a matter of purely mental guidance:

Example (It was in Eastern Europe, the villages are not as friendly as in Western Europe, the dogs are hungry, and the winters are very harsh. I was well insulated, I was on the move, but the temperature kept dropping and I was a little cold, so I couldn't stand in the cold):

When I was being attacked by a dog I was passing, someone pulled it away from behind, then its attention was immediately distracted by Forces I couldn't see, it turned its back on me and continued barking at the invisible. I think it was the intervention of the Gods, or my Daemon Guardian.

I was returning home and passing by the village, it was winter, there was one road, on the right there was a highway of cars that you couldn't cross (if you got out, cars would hit you), on the left there were village fences behind which each owner had an angry dog barking + on the right there were snowdrifts, so there was only one road along which I could only go forward. There was a dog in the middle of this road, and I was walking past it and hoping it wouldn't touch me. The dog took an attacking pose (according to the textbooks I read later) and jumped on me. Thanks to invisible Forces, she managed to touch me only with her paws, and immediately invisible forces pulled her by the tail, the dog's teeth were sharp. She didn't follow me, because all this time someone invisible was distracting her attention.

2.A person has a spiritual connection with the Gods since birth, you need to actively work with the chakras and practice the rituals of the Gods so that you can feel this connection better and clearly.

3.You can get the help of the Gods right now, and I think you're probably getting it. You need to be able to clear your mind and see the signs of the Gods. For new members, the signs can be very bold.

The Gods help people without disturbing the cosmic balance.

Assistance is provided in any case, but the amount and type of assistance will be provided depending on your life situation.

Example: A person who is not in a serious life situation can get a mental direction. A person who is on the verge of life and death, or when his health is really threatened, can receive more serious help, according to the specific situation, but as a Zevist, you must be able to help yourself on your own and rely on your own strength as much as you can help yourself in material world.

«You will find on the left of the halls of Hades a spring, and standing by it a white cypress. Do not approach this spring at all. You will find another, from the Lake of Memory, with cold water flowing from it. Guardians stand before it. Say: 'I am a child of Earth and starry Heaven, but my race is of Heaven alone. You know this yourselves. I am parched with thirst and am perishing. Give me quickly the cold water flowing from the Lake of Memory.' And they will give you to drink from the sacred spring, and after that you will reign among the other heroes» - From the Petelia Tablet (300-200 BCE)

This is the targeted message.

1) Is the Gods' help purely a matter of mental guidance? I have often seen people say that the Gods do not do things for us themselves, but rather guide us. If this is not the whole picture, could you please explain the different ways in which the Gods help us?

Not only. As others have said, when the Gods can guide you in such a way that you can learn and grow yourself, they will do this. However, there are inevitably situations in life that are more dire. For those truly dedicated to the path, it could be hard to truly say just how many bad outcomes the Gods are protecting us from, on top of the protection provided by our Aura of Protection/Rituals, etc. I can speak from experience, when there have been situations that have seemingly low chances of manifesting in a good way, that borderline miracles have happened. For when times are truly hard, I've always found the best combination to be my own personal workings and honest prayer.

2) How can we genuinely feel that we are having a spiritual connection with the Gods? In other words, is it actually possible to experience a distinct feeling or sensation from the Gods while performing a religious practice?

Yes, it is. These experiences do come from growth. Someone who has been on the path for years is going to be more sensitive than someone who is just starting out. But, a lot of new people do feel things and take those things for granted, like if you're doing a God Ritual and you feel an ambient energy that makes it easy to visualize and feel what's being described (like for example, a moonlit forest in the Artemis Ritual).

3) How much spiritual progress do I need to make before I can receive the Gods' help? Based on what I have learned from you so far, I believe I should be practicing the Pythagorean Meditation. Is that correct?

Aside from recommending the article Ài Gōng posted, I would also like to say you're not precluded from the Gods help just by being new, and as AristocraticDragon said, it's not impossible you're already receiving that help, if you have prayed for such. It's not always going to be apparent straight away, the nature of material events is that things play out in real time, after all.

If this is a situation you need protection in, I may suggest the Castor Ritual? I myself turned to this, when times where difficult.

Even though things may be hard, it's these times when you need to stick to your faith more, not less. Best of luck with your situation.

You're placing too much importance on your ability to consciously recognise divine assistance. You must distinguish between the Gods' capacity to help you and your own capacity to perceive and understand Their actions. Our awareness is limited, and we cannot reasonably expect divine intervention to always take a form that we immediately recognise.

The absence of a particular sensation during prayer or ritual tells us very little about whether the Gods are helping us. Equally, experiencing something extraordinary doesn't automatically mean we've received a divine message. This is where patience and discernment become important and with time, this process becomes easier. Sometimes the significance of certain events only becomes apparent much later, when we have a better understanding of the circumstances and how they unfolded. You should allow your spiritual understanding to mature without constantly demanding immediate confirmation of the Gods' presence.
