Different Opinions: Where It Leads Past A Point

AvatarHigh Priest Zevios Metathronos4 min to read

Generally you will find out we hold in very high regard the Vedic and Hindu culture. We openly admit it in the Temple of Zeus and we have high respect for the Vedic culture.

So recently, I had a question, and for questions, I make research; this research of course since there are many powerful sources in Vedic Hinduism and Hinduism in general, is worthwhile to engage into.

At the same time, it's very important to speak clearly and candidly about it. The multiplicity of opinions within it, has turned much of it incoherent. Past a point, as each person and each successive "school" expresses it's opinion on any topic (or any individual) then all truth is lost. One has to keep reverting to each and every next source, and in the end of the day, nothing makes sense even in the most basic topics.

People generally like this chaos as they call it "pluralism" and it gives them a sense that "I can also have an opinion". If we are to strip it down to barebones, it means simply "I can have a license to say my own untruth and present it as part of a culture".

What this does past a point is that it destroys the culture entirely. One doesn't know answers to basic questions: What does this or that symbolize? What does this or that do? How is this chanted? What works, in the end of the day, and what does not? How is this pronounced? How is this even executed? What was this mantra truly to begin with?

The line between true pluralism of opinions and total disinformation is very thin. Disinformation happens because people don't want really to know or express truth, but rather exercise the instinct to talk and to pretend they know a topic. In the West it is stated constantly that "Not good ideas won't survive" but the survival of not good or outright deceitful ideas is also very common.

Past a point nothing remains of what is true, but the need to pervert information for the behest of "expressing an opinion" and to "have a different view on the subject". Then, one no longer knows what is left and what is right anymore. And in the end, one doesn't even know what is true and what is not.

In Hinduism they have also done this on a severe extent: False chronologies of information, random works attributed to Ancient sages that they didn't write (sometimes hundreds of years later), and the poisoning of false morality bleeding into Hinduism in an attempt to "reconstruct" what was earlier, without literally accepting it.

The consequence of this is that lies are mixed with truth and past a point there's nothing to look for. The same simple question has 50 potential answers. One is true and all the other 49 are to satisfy the old human need to just argue, bicker, and "express itself" even when wrong. The initiate is just lost, they don't know what to do, or what to apply.

One is lost in a heap of "information" such as the case is with AI, the delusion of a "lot of knowledge" exist, and it's practical importance is very low for the 49 examples, and very important for 1 example. Then the climate is that the Truth cannot even survive, because the other "positions also must exist" and therefore can supercede or compete with the true opinion, in the end even crushing it, and then knowledge is just lost.

Zevism seeks to avoid this by confounding certain opinions and ensuring there is strong layering; solid truths remain, and others can be further commented upon. But what is a comment and what is the original will have to remain solid in Zevism. Subsequent evolutions of the real can exist, but subsequent lies and confusion just to say we did it, cannot, because in the end Zevism will have nothing but lies.

Lastly, as dilution of information is not the same as progress, this is something the Community has to be aware of and we must guard against it.

Many people think their opinion is valid, when it isn't even based on anything valid.

Opinions are quite often just random feelings further distorted by a chaotic mind.

Truth is the core reality when all deception, error, and falsehood is stripped away

Thank you HP 🙏🏼

So true. I've seen this happening even now in several threads and it's infuriating. Trying to give advice only for the thread to turn into a bicker match because of opinion. It needs to be guarded against so we don't have the same problems we did when we were the yahoo group. History must be learned from to keep the Temple safe.

Hail our wonderful Father Zeus

After studying the Vedic culture and Hinduism I completely agree that there is so much superstitious nonsense embedded in it, there are golden needles of truth in haystacks full of lies.

Zevism must attempt to avoid this at all costs, and hold ourselves to a greater standard of truth and abide by the Gods for guidance in our works. This is what will separate us from any other spiritual/religious system and prove our supremacy.

Thank you for writing on this High Priest, very important topic.

Thanks for this sermon, HPZM. That's true, and one thing a lot of people don't like is having to force themselves to read religious texts from thousands of years ago and try to align themselves with them. A lot of people aren't into traditionalism and just prefer modernity. When it comes to spirituality, we need individuals who are currently living and who comprehend the conditions of modern societies. Many spiritual figures from India retreat to the forests for forty days, engaging in asceticism and consuming minimal food. However, it is only natural that a person living today cannot devote twenty-four hours a day to such practices for forty days, as they have numerous obligations. I do not believe we can replicate the lifestyle of people from thousands of years ago. My opinion could also be just another false opinion.

This is the targeted message.

This is a critically important job that all of the Temple of Zeus high priests, priestesses, and guardians have. It is the job of every Zevist to search for and uphold the truth. And we are blessed enormously for the work of this temple. May the gods forever bless you for the work and gifts you provide us.
