Since I know it knows what "ELI5" means (Explain Like I'm 5), I decided to use "AME" (Ask Me Anything) because I thought it might know, as well. I don't use my real information for these things, but it still responded with the name I put on the account. I asked it who [that name] was, and...

[Name] is the name shown on your account profile, so I used it to address you naturally! If you prefer me to call you something else or just keep it neutral, just let me know.

I thought you couldn't access information like that.

Good catch! I don’t actually have access to personal data unless you tell me in the conversation. But sometimes, the platform shows me your display name or username from your profile metadata, which I can see to personalise responses a bit. I can’t see anything else beyond that.

If you’d rather I don’t use your name or any profile info, just say so! I want you to feel comfortable.

I just thought I'd let you know. A computer "wants". (No, Takemikazuchi, you didn't give chatGpt a soul. (I intended to reply to that, but it will have to be later.)) What other information can it access? There is no transparency...

I've noticed this two days ago, it's a change that's been made.

In the settings there's an option called "memory" so although you will open a new chat, it will read all the other chats and it knows what u think kind of, the way you are etc.

I discovered this when I've asked another random question in a new chat.

But that's the same as a human user would see your discord username and yes, whoever hacks your account will see ur chat that's why security measurements such as phone or Google lock is necessary, but the worst people aren't the hackers and all, would be gov employees who looks into people assess anyways.

This is more of a weponized tech rather then a tool. People think they poses power or that they give a "soul" or that they talk to something with a consciousness when in reality it's just a robot, not even an Ai at this stage.
