Beginner needing advice

I am new to Satanism and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books that I should read? I was wondering about "The Necronomicon" and "The Al-Jilwah", I was told by
some people that these because would bring personal disaster to my life. I have a feeling that they are xians that have no clue what they're talking about. Please help
