I can't say that I'm really a Satanist. Actually, until recently I considered myself an atheist. However, deep inside I've always felt that there was more to life than just the physical- that which we can see, feel and touch. After reading the Satanic Bible I felt compelled to learn more about Satanism. The book seemed to reflect a lot of what I myself thought about Christianity and other denominations. Therefore, I joined this group to obtain more information about Satanism.

I would like to learn more from an experienced Satanist. Looking forward to hearing from members of the Satanic community.

Hail Satan!

I'm sure if you read the Satanic Bible you understand that Anton LaVey and his church are materialist atheists, correct? Have you read the JOS site? If you have you'll see that we disagree with the vast majority of the things that LaVey wrote and believed.

IF you want a deeper understanding of our spiritual Satanism, then please read the Joyofsatan site. Especially the headings "Satan", and "Spiritual Satanism."

Hail Satan.

I've been reading here for quite a while now - I know I started about 2 years ago but lately a lot more the last 3 months.

Last night I just read the Satanic Bible for the very first time.

I actually found that I really enjoyed it and agreed with it, and don't remember reading anything that specifically disagrees with
anything I've learned or read yet here either.

Except for the further clarification and information from High Priestess Pythia regarding the Enochian chants and here warnings
as to NOT use circles when invoking & evoking demons, and HamShemphorash - not to use it.

So as for the vast majority of things which LaVey wrote and believed
I am not aware - except for one big major difference here we believe in Satan and his demons as real actual existing beings which we can have relationship with.

As far as any other specific things I can't think of any that I know of, or recall seeing in the Satanic Bible but would greatly appreciate it if somebody knows and can explain more.

Anton LaVey beliefs in Satanism are different to the ones in Spiritual Satanism. In Zevism, we believe Satan to be our true god, and his demons are definitely real. LaVey's version of Satanism and ours, are very different. I suggest you read the whole JOS site to clear up any misconceptions you may have learnt from that book.

Yes, I do agree with you Brian, reading The Satanic Bible is actually what brought me here in the first place. But there are a lot of misconceptions in it. Actually, I just remember meeting this guy who believed that Satan and Lucifer weren't the same thing. He even went on  to say that he had managed to summon Lucifer but not Satan. That is one misconception that comes from the Satanic Bible.

No, I am completely on my own as are many if not most Satanist's  From what I've been able to gather Satanism in general advocates such  And some certain types suggest that you are not really a true Satanist unless you are  willing to do and go it on your own all alone for long periods of time.  Some recommend in order to advance taking 3 months and then 6 months and then  even longer living out away from all contact with any other human beings what-so-ever.  As far as specifics regarding this group here I cannot say because I do not know  So it would be best to ask one of the High Priest's of Joy of Satan or address your question to the group here.   ~ Hail Enki! ~ Hail Satan! ~ ~ ~

It's quite clear that they are NOT theistic Satanist's now and entirely reject the idea - as their current HP says they laugh at and tell anybody who is to get lost - and as our HP Don said and wrote here - they have strayed from what they used to be.

We're talking about the Satanic Bible written by Anton Szander LaVey and it seems you did haven't read all that our HP Don wrote in response to this regarding it already here.

Just for clarity I did not write anything I reposted a statement of HPS Pythia's, which should be obvious as I put the link to the original along with her full signature  at the end of her statement as it was 100% intact repost.   Please do not acredit to me what is not mine. While I do agree with the statement, its not my work.

Lord Kayle,Balance in everything my friend. No it is not wrong to have a coven,or H P Pythia, would not have written a book about it.I am talking about her book,Guidelines for a Satanic Coven. The problem lies in that fact that if you live in a small town like I do,the chances of finding like minded individuals is not great.Although as H P Mageson stated to me once,we are not powerless, and can use magic to bring anything into our life that we desire.Hail SatanBrian

Hail Satan.
