Are the United States waking up about WWII?

This article shows that 1/3 of Americans think it was not necessarily a good idea for Americans to have participated in World War II: https://nypost.com/2021/05/31/many-americans-not-sure-if-fighting-nazis-was-a-good-idea-poll/amp/. Oddly, the number is higher among older people (ages 30 to 44) than among younger people (ages 18 to 29).

The article also shows a graph about other American wars and their approval by the Americans, which is less than 50% for the most of these wars. I think it shows that our Rituals are working somehow.
