Eat fatty meat. Get high quality meat from a trusted source, and eat as much as you want until you regain your strength. The less you cook, the better, since you will get more nutrition, and it will be easier to chew since it's more juicy. If the meat is from a healthy animal, searing both sides for up to one minute should be enough. If you want to go the extra mile, eat organs a few times a week. Heart and liver are good for starters.
Get raw milk from a good source if you can digest, and make your own shake. You can add 2-3 raw egg yolks (organic, pasture-raised), raw or pasteurized cream, and raw, unheated honey to one liter of raw milk and drink that. Later on, you can cook the whites with butter for more protein. Also, drink kefir.
Don't be afraid of fat. This is especially important since you are concerned about your period. You can eat raw butter the same way you eat an apple, you don't need to put it on bread. Fat is very important, especially for women. Most strict vegan women lose their periods after a while for a reason.
