For the 1000th time, the 2012 apocalypse predictions are a fraud! You have no idea how many times that very same question has been asked! The only thing that will really happen for sure is that the Age of Aquarius, the Age of Satan, will come. I can hardly wait until that happens! It imagine it will be quite grand!
Are we going to keep being asked this question till 2012 passes!? It's one thing for the same question to be asked a few times but this is kind of ridiculous! By the way, I'm not trying to give you a hard time buddy. It's just that I'm sure this question is driving people a little nuts.

I'm not naive enough to believe that this will actually put the brakes on 2012 posts, but all that year represents is the end of an "age" in Maya/Aztec cosmology. (If it also marks the time when judeo-xtianity finally gets its well-deserved comeuppance, so much the better! It's about time. If it was up to me I would have gotten out the fly swatter ages ago!--LOL)
Anyway, the Mesoamericans divided time into certain "ages" or as they called them, "suns". 2012 marks the end of the "Fifth Sun". One can only speculate, but it's possible that the calendar would have been revised to include the coming "Sixth Sun", if it did not already. Remember that although it is the most accurate calendar system devised, no one has yet learned to thoroughly and completely read one of these things, claims to the contrary not withstanding, in the light of Mayan cosmology.

I was just thinking to myself how crazy, in an awesome way of course, it would be if I actually manage to live long enough to see the Age of Aquarius come about. A young man like me would be about 161 or 162 years old by the time the next age came about! Definitely nothing compared to the demons but it would still be considered impressive by our current society's standards. Although, wouldn't people find it quite strange that a guy over 130 years old or whatever was walking around and didn't seem old in the slightest? I'm kind of curious what the societal reaction would be to someone living to such an extreme age with no physical signs of aging.
I'm pretty glad I found Joy of Satan at a considerably youthful age. I was 20 when I first discovered the website. I should have plenty of time to spiritually perfect myself and reach godhead. Especially considering how longevity is known to have run through my family's ancestry. I've had many ancestors who lived into their 80s back when medicine was nothing compared to our modern care! Hopefully, it won't take me that long though. Although, if I understand right, getting up to that level of spiritual advancement isn't very easy.

And some people forget, at least temporarily, that it is accompanied by corresponding spiritual advancement as well.)
One can only speculate on the social reaction in the world at large. One can imagine our pensions will cause some awkward glitches: who is going to believe one is 150 years old or more yet look 25, 35, or 40? But remember that as we progress in the Magnum Opus, our spiritual power increases as well; we will have the power and abilities to deal with whatever 'situations' arise. Also, remember that the world and its social systems will not be as they are now. We are coming into Satan's Age.
Working very closely with one's guardian demon is vital, not only in the Magnum Opus itself, but because of the guidance they can provide that is specifically geared to the unique situation of each of us, our present circumstances, AND the unfolding of our own soul's destiny. The possibilities are endless and we should remain open, even though we can't see those possibilities at this particular juncture.
(I've been mulling over the idea of starting a group, restricted to those who are dong the Magnum Opus and those who are sincerely interested in starting it, so we can 'compare notes', encourage each other, etc., but haven't decided yet whether this would be helpful. Running such a forum takes a lot of time and energy especially as I don't want it to just overlap the existing JoS groups; no need to re-invent the wheel.)

Not quite true. Let me elaborate: "hard" does not necessarily mean the painful, often unproductive striving and straining that one so often endures merely to survive under this system. Satanism itself is not an "easy" path. Effort is always required and for those who must learn self-discipline and come to an understanding that results are not instant ("I wanted it yesterday!") it is hard. Discouragement can set in at times, especially during such a period where one is re-engineering the way they have always done things. If one subscribes to the idea that 'everything is easy' they will miss the point, i.e., that effort and discipline are required if one is to make progress and will drop out at the first obstacle (real or imagined). Effort is also not easy for the naturally lazy; it will take time to replace the negative habit of laziness with one of discipline and concentration, not easy by any means.
I agree that often we make things harder than they need to be and it's a good idea to be on the lookout for times when we may be doing exactly that. But I've never believed in the proverbial rose-colored glasses: they distort too much and then lead to unhappy surprises.

You definitely have a point.
Words mean different things to different people. I personally don't like being told something will be "easy" when it will, in reality, require a lot of effort and discipline. I'm big on 'tell it like it is.'
For example, I'm an equestrian (dressage and doma vaquera), which requires a great deal of effort and discipline. My first instructor showed his worthlessness when he told me in so many words, "It's easy. I can teach you in three days." It was never 'easy' and certainly took a lot longer than three days. (I'm reasonably good but I'll never be going to the Olympics. LOL). Anything to do with horses is a field where the concept of lifetime learning totally applies.
Not to suggest that the Magnum Opus is akin to riding a horse, except for the discipline and effort required, perhaps, and that spirituality also requires 'lifelong learning' but I (again personally) have found that when I have been misled about either the difficulty or the ease of a certain thing, I have been disappointed and felt that somewhere along the line I did not acquire the accurate information I needed (whether through my own oversight/omission or someone else's) and therefore something was missing.
I certainly don't intend to put people off from commencing or continuing with the Magnum Opus; just to not give anyone the impression that it will be a walk in the park or a visit to a spiritual Disneyland. Satanism -- all of it -- requires work and concentrated effort.

It is very easy our words form associations in our mind they generate images and emotions, keep mentioning techinques that require simply being able to relax yourself first and being mind in matter, as hard and difficult to people and it generates the feeling of tension and hesitation towards doing them which causes just that when they do them to happen, and is likey to cause more frustation. Which causes them to connect stress to doing power meditation. Making them hard and difficult. When they are quite easy just relax and be present within yourself.

You are right! The Path of the Gods (as some refer to the Magnum Opus) is long and difficult, and sometimes discouraging, but definitely doable! As for how many actual years it takes to complete, that would depend on the individual; but it is interesting to watch it unfold, even in the beginning stages where we presently are.
(So often we see posts on this forum that go, in effect: "I've been doing the Magnum Opus meditations for X months now [usually 2 to 6]. When is Pythia going to put the second part on the site?" But what is already on the site, what I refer to as the beginning or intro stage, is ample to keep one very, very busy for the next two to three years. This is a process that requires discipline, a lot of it, and cannot be rushed. We don't just wake up six months from now, step out of the shower, look in the mirror and say, "Hey! It's done!" On the contrary: sometimes there will be small 'quantum leaps' so to speak, at others one will notice small signs of progress, and most of the time, see "no" change. There are many Mayan people around. Most are in southern Mexico and Central America but due to immigration they can be found virtually everywhere, including in my small city. The same is true of the Aztecs, whom some ignoramuses will say, "they're an extinct tribe." They fail to realize that they comprise about six 'tribes' of the Nahua nation & there's many of them, too, in central Mexico, and also due to immigration, found everywhere else. I've known several, all immigrants in fact.
