Good evening brothers and sisters,
I know this question may seem a little strange, but I wanted to ask for advice about a problem I'm having.
I have a healthy lifestyle, except for smoking.
I developed this addiction due to various circumstances in my life, and although I have tried several times to quit, I find it very difficult.
I have achieved several goals and overcome many obstacles in my life, but I find this addiction difficult to combat.
I know that this must come mainly from me and my willpower, but I wanted to know if anyone here has succeeded in this goal and if there is any spiritual advice that could help me in this.

Thank you very much.

You should not have cigarettes in your desk/at home/jacket at all. And you can start a spell to end your addiction. There are special days in calendar, you can check for a date and start.

Depends on how much you are addicted.

My experience was, that I smoked around 6-10 cigs.

And just stopped suddenly, then I wanted to smoke, but I kept not doing it.

After a week I was lighter, and after 2 weeks basically it was gone.

If you smoke like 20-30-40 per day, then you need to aim to reduce and doing steps to quit.

Make a list of all the benefits you get from smoking, and then another list of all the benefits you get from not smoking. Then compare the two.
This is one method from SMART Recovery, which I suggest you look up. Talking to ChatGPT about this is also good.

I do use swedish snus myself (which containts nicotine) but that is much much healthier than smoking. The big cigarrette companies have tried to lobby against snus everywhere, since they would lose money if people were doing that instead of smoking. Smoking means inhaling burned materials into the lungs, which is the most nasty and unhealthy aspect here.

Thank you for the advice 🥰

Place some kind of reminder that'll catch your daily attention to not smoke, and you can also work on your Base and Solar chakras more.

A stronger willpower will always lead to a more serious level of resolve necessary to overcome addictions.
Thank you very much 😘

I highly recommend self-hypnosis for healing addictions and compulsions! This requires trance training, but will benefit you overall.

Hematite stone has also been recommended for quitting smoking, better willpower and healing addictions.

I can recommend Varenicline/Champix. This medication blocks the brain receptors responsible for the "pleasure" of smoking. There's no need for cold turkey or any similar practices, gradually after circa a week the desire to smoke will fade. And somewhere around that time when you go out for a smoke you'll wonder: why the hell am I doing this?! The taste of cigarettes will return to what it was when you first started smoking. This thing clearly demonstrates the futility and obsession of this ritual. After this you'll have to pick a date, smoke your last cigarette and never return to that crap anymore! That's it! Don't worry, there's a proper manual coming with this drug :)
And it would be good to start doing pranayama if you already don't.
Also there's a few sermons of our HP on that topic:
How To Control Addictions, Passions, Animal Drives
Actual Self Love: Drugs & Addictions - Fixing One's Self
you can find more via search.
I wish you success fighting your addiction and hope you will win! :)

We are all different. I took up smoking in my early 20's and gave up in my 40's. Did it have a permanent effect on my health? You bet yah! I live a very healthy lifestyle now and have for years, but all that smoking has probably shortened my lifespan.
I researched a lot on the best method/strategy on how to give up and basically just gave up with self-psychology. I rewired my thinking into how absolutely bad it was for my health until I became sick at just thinking about it.
As I mentioned, we are all different.

It took me awhile to quit. I smoked since I was in my teens and 10 or so years past that, and a bit more. Had a point where I quit for 3 years, but eventually came back to it. Currently now, I have been done for over 5 or 6 now with no issues.

I used a certain cycle against the addiction to cigarettes, since I do or rather, did, enjoy them deeply, it is no good to lie to yourself if this is the case. The tapping, lighting, inhaling, scratchy feeling, taste through the mouth and nose, etc. Though, these are rather pitiful gains compared to all the bad it does to your body, and as a result your soul, mind, and emotional state in from the suffering your body is being put through. All the time wasted. Let alone your wallet, those things were expensive enough when I quit, alcohol gone 1 year later too, which also helped.

I used the cycle in the fact that there would always be a point, some point, where you light up and it just makes you feel like wanting the throw up all over yourself, was the worst. I used one of those days to entirely throw away all my cigarettes and not go back to them for 3 years, though, bad company and bad times I was not dealing with well had them move in again for a few years on overdrive. I had to get away from more negative influences to be able to attempt to get away from them and some other things. After getting a hold of life again I reattempted quitting using the same method, almost had a full pack, and with that nauseating feeling off the light up, I got rid of them all with the full acceptance that they were no longer useful to me in any way, especially in advancing oneself, despite the fact that they were a useless parasitic habit in the first place, all wrapped up in deviously attractive packages with foolishly attractive attributes to their use.

They are useless for the little value they truly add compared to what they take, and I have settled with just staying away from them. I am unsure if they will ever be particularly wholesome, even if it was fresh dried tobacco, it is still inhaling the products of combustion and whatever else is created when the leaf and whatever else is stuffed into commercial or non commercial cigarettes burn. There are always lovely pictures of folks who were smokers, opened up after they died to show how their lungs looked compared to non smokers. Crazy, thinking anyone would still smoke after seeing that, to know that I kept smoking after knowing this, and had to use the method I did, though I hope it is easier for you than it was for me. Being able to run, work out, have good sex, among other active physical tasks not to forget Kundalini and Hatha yoga, which take good breath control, along with our meditations and breathing exercises, etc, the list goes on, is so much better than smoking.

Best just stay away from them, and enjoy walking across your living room not feeling totally gassed :) Of course, a good quote of "Life is in the Breath" - Thoth, always rang out to me when I smoked and was getting through that addiction. So concerning cigarettes take the breath away, well, you do the math.

Take Care
