Medicine and proper medical practices save lives. With a lot of spiritual advancement we can help with healing, but the required amount of advancement and energy needed is far beyond the practical scope of the vast majority of people. Nobody should delay medical intervention thinking they can meditate the illness away.
The ancients had medicine and surgery, even with their knowledge of spiritual practices.

I feel like I've advanced more spiritually in the last month then in the 2 years preceding it. For years I had plenty of alone time, but I kept putting off meditation while waiting for the "perfect" time, which of course never came. Living in a group home isn't ideal, there are plenty of people who seem to always be making noise, lol. But since resuming my program weeks ago, I haven't missed a single session. I no longer wait for the time that feels perfect, I make use of the time and space I currently have. Where there's a will, there's a way.
I continue to stay sober and work on the underlying issues related to addiction. It's certainly hard, as my brain is still recovering. But I am very grateful to have been given a second chance, and this beautiful community has been very helpful. I still worry sometimes about how to fix my life, I'm not sure what I should do career wise. But I know I love the Gods and Goddesses, and I love our amazing Temple. I am in a much better place then I was a few months ago, when I was still in active addiction and burying my true feelings in drugs. Thank you to all who help maintain and build up this wonderful Place.

I wanted to write these tidbits about my new name, since I know a couple people were curious.
On its origins, it came to me in a dream. Nothing grand or mysterious, I was literally just scrolling the Forums and answering a couple questions (...in a dream), and the username I had was Khemenu Nefermed.
I had thought of changing my name to something more personally meaningful before that, and the three fragments of this name are words I didn't, at least to my knowledge, know of before this dream.
So I meditated on the name, and felt a deep connection to it, elaborated a bit on it, and out came Khem Nefermed.
It has layers of meaning, some of which are too personal to share, but I will share the biggest part of it.
The name can roughly translate to "Khem, of beautiful speech."
Nefer-medu means beautiful-word, and it relates to my passion for writing and the oratory arts in general. It obviously also relates to Lord Thoth.
Khem itself I didn't translate above, because it has a triple meaning in terms of what it means to me.
Firstly, the biggest meaning is that it is short for Khemenu or Khemenew. This means "The Eight", "the Ogdoad", and it relates to the eight primordial deities of Egypt, worshipped in the city of the same name.
This city was later called Hermopolis Magna, or the Great City of Hermes, because it was the largest cult of Thoth.
Secondly, it relates to Kemet, Egypt itself. I have many pagan cultures I am fascinated with and attracted to, but Egypt has been with me my entire life, down to my early childhood.
Thirdly, it relates to Khem itself, which means "dark", in the sense of fertility. Months before this, I had a dream of a deity I could not make sense of, because it wasn't well known. It was Min, the Egyptian God of reproduction and fertility. This is a God I was close to in ways I didn't know until I researched it deeper. Khem as "fertile" (a reference to darker soil) is an epithet of many Gods, including Min.
Yes, the fact that Khem has three meanings is also an intentional nod to Hermes Trismegistus. The name is quite connected to Hermes/Thoth, and I hope to honor Him in the work I do.

Due to my school blocking both the forums and the main ToZ website, I will be unable to continually post here and there will most likely be long gaps between my activity on the forums. This is truly unfortunate and I do not want to be inactive and un-participating, but there is very little I can do before I am able to acquire my own personal PC. My school provided computer was my only access to the forums and website and now that it has been taken away there is little I can do but wait. I hope I can find workarounds to this problem. I apologize for my recent inactivity and am actively searching for ways to still participate in the community.
Patience and have faith in the Gods: Great things are coming. Allow positive changes to take place. In retrospect, they will be the best changes to have ever occurred. Blessings to everyone!

I believe Zeus or my Guardian directly spoke to me in my dream, the eve of Beltane.
I was with some hunters and they were going to take out a massive bull. Idk if it was a mercy kill or just natural hunting. I can remember having inner understanding as to why they were doing this. They even made sure to shoot it directly in the middle of the head for an instant kill.
Even though it was quick and painless I became very sad for the animal. As I walked I was telling myself why am I getting like this and perhaps I should shake it off.
Thats when I heard the voice of our God (or Guardian). Although I heard it in my head almost like my inner voice but it wasn't coming from me.
The voice told me to be okay to feel for this wild animal. To let it out. Feel. Empathize.
So I did. And the thoughts that flooded immediately were that of how much I yearn for animals to have a full life before it's for us to eat them.
In the bigger picture I believe my ability to empathize with other living beings and creaturea that became stunted and not correctly cultivated because of my upbringing is healing. I want the best life for every soul according to their nature and I mean this sincerely. Justice must be implemented and part of that justice also involves the above.
Maybe I should of just written this in a dream journal but seeing it is a spiritual experience I decided to share with you all.

Before I found the Temple of Zeus, Lord Orpheus was the first God whose sigil I ever meditated on; he was truly my gateway to the Gods and the Mysteries. Looking back on it, that was very symbolic. I thank him dearly for this.

About two years ago, I prayed sincerely to Lord Kheiron to help me quit smoking and give me the motivation and his blessing to keep clean. I remember the day I quit like it was yesterday. I was outside in my backyard, it was nighttime, and I had gone the whole day without smoking. The birds were not chirping, the leaves were not rustling, and I had the thought that I would go for a smoke and quit the next week instead of today.
Then, out of nowhere, a Great Blue Heron flew into the tree above my head! I had never seen anything like it. You don't see these kinds of birds here, let alone in your backyard. The Heron landed in a tree where the branches were shaped exactly like the Othala Rune ᛟ. I was amazed and in awe. I could not ignore this great omen and knew that this would be the day I stopped smoking forever.
Two years later, I have not taken a single puff of anything, or even considered doing so. Until doing this Ritual, and finding out this God's true name, it never clicked that this blessing was from Lord Kheiron, but the phonetic similarity of Kheiron (Greek Pronunciation) and Heron made it apparent.
Additionally, the day before starting the Ritual to God Kheiron, I felt an intense calling to pursue a certification in Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Herbology. It is no coincidence that this happened the day before doing the Ritual to the God of Medicine and the founder of herbology.
I just want to express my gratitude to this fantastic and wonderful God. He has blessed me and so many others beyond belief. May he be praised and blessed for all eternity.

- Los Dioses operan bajo leyes de equilibrio universal. Al estudiar y adoptar Su Ética, dejamos de actuar por impulsos egoicos para convertirnos en representantes de Su voluntad. Esta ética nos impulsa a la excelencia, reflejando la perfección de lo superior en cada una de nuestras acciones.
- El enraizamiento ocurre cuando alineamos nuestra voluntad con la Verdad, la Justicia y la Reciprocidad. Los Dioses potencian lo que ya habita en nosotros: si eres creador, tu obra restaura la belleza; si eres protector, tu firmeza es Su justicia. El Reino se expande cada vez que utilizas tus talentos naturales y tus gustos para establecer armonía en el caos.
- Los Dioses son justos y reconocen nuestra naturaleza. Ser un seguidores de ellos, implica honrar nuestros ciclos, nuestro cuerpo y nuestras inclinaciones. El enraizamiento físico es, en última instancia, ejecutar la visión divina en el plano material, permitiendo que Su presencia se manifieste de forma auténtica en cada paso que damos.
