Hello friends!
I have a few questions pertaining to hatha and kundalini yoga.
1. When doing the poses do we for it for however long it stays to? Or for a certain amount of breaths?
2. When doing breaths during the yoga poses, do we just breath in, breath out, or do we breath using the yogic breathing on the meditation page?
3. Which is better, kundalini? Or Hatha. I have felt head in my lower back and penis and I made a post about this.

I can't choose "kundalini or hatha". :pBoth are good, kundalini is especially for the spine and hatha helps overall in flexibility as well. I'm doing hatha because I've been doing it for many months now. But I had tried kundalini and also felt the energy. You can do both if you can keep doing them every day.
When doing the poses (for hatha I assume) you do them for as long as you read in the pdf (or wherever on joS you found the information :p). Personally I count in my mind until 60 -for example- etc.As for breathing, you could do a certain yogic breathing if it feels comfortable to you. In HoodedCobra's meditation program, it is written to do a certain amount of breaths, instead of counting. So, try things, experiment and go with whatever feels most comfortable. What's important is that you have a "balanced" number of either seconds or breaths throughout each pose. (I mean, if the pdf says "do this, this, and that pose for 30 seconds" then do them for 30 seconds, or for whichever breaths; but the same number for all three)

I found hatha yoga great for starting my day and filling up with energy, but I messed up because I added breaths too fast. I am now on 9 breaths per asana but I'm not feeling comfortable. I want to decrease back to 4 breaths but I read somewhere on the JoS we shouldn't decrease the numbers only increase... Can I decrease my hatha yoga routine from 9 to 4 breaths per asana because most of the time I don't feel comfortable.. Anyhow I'm doing much stronger meditations throught the day and I don't feel the need for such long hatha yoga.

@Sam - Do yoga with full Yogic breath. At least when you can.

As Light Yagami said. They're different yogas. Hatha yoga is great for starting the day and raising energy, whilst kundalini yoga is good for empowering and raising kundalini.

I also have a question regarding kundalini yoga. On the JoS site under the breathing exercises, it states that the fire breath is the basic for kundalini yoga. I have to say this is true because I've never felt such strong energy when doing the exercise for the first time. I almost passed out and I was immensely sweating. It was pure ecstasy. If I think back in time I always had connections to "puffers" as we did this exercises when we kids, only back then we passed out when doing it because stressing the muscles too much. I do have a problem when doing the 7th asana in the kundalini yoga series provided by one of the HP. As my body tends to twitch when I do the fire breath exhale my neck moves uncontrolably and sometimes the result is slight pain. Without the fire breath the spine pops really nice and I feel the pressure relieve but doing the fire breath it's not that good.. Here's the same yoga program I found on the internet. I'll try to do it slower and than report back.

It's on the joS under physical yoga.

I have a question about the hatha yoga routine in the pdf file about the 40 day program.

The link doesn't work. (It opens a new tab with a link the adress bar but the page says: 'Sorry this page was not found')

So what can I do to subsitute it with? So far I've used the sun greeting as a substitute doing that twice (ofc it doesn't match the amount of breaths but still)

This the pdf i've been using: http://webzoom.freewebs.com/satanismgr/ ... stries.pdf http://webzoom.freewebs.com/satanismgr/ ... stries.pdf - I am not sure weather that'd be an outdated one but I've recentely copied it from someone whom has shared it in one of the topics.

Headstand, shoulder stand, plough, fish, cobra, standing forward bend, triangle, savasana 10+ minutes. There's a seated twist in there too but i forgot where. Im pretty sure that's it. It was kind of short. One can add or subtract asanas of their own choosing, just make sure that everything is complemented by the opposite- forward bend for a back bend etc. this is just a just example of a good sequence of poses that compliments itself.
