What do you think? I was surprised that there has to be laws which state that sea vessels require enough lifeboats, or equivalents, for all staff and customers onboard. There shouldn't be the need to have such laws; that should be done anyway. I cannot prove anything, but I do also suspect that "accidents" happen on purpose to add more red tape and regulations, to further squeeze the life out of people (in some ways).

What if I told you that this line was never spoken by Morpheus in the movie "The Matrix"? It's one of those "Mandela Effects":

Safety regulations and the like are enacted because some less braindead folks figured that it would be a good idea to instruct more braindead people on something of necessity through legal means when common sense is not widely being used any longer, or when greed overpowers common sense. Otherwise, we all would be sailing with enough lifeboats for the crew, if that. So I don't really get how you take these instructions to that length, but I would agree with the same logic on other points relating to firearm regulations and regulations around finances, for example.

Accidents happen mostly because of human error. I say mostly because there are exceptions to this, but they are not the rule.

if i remember correctly this law was enacted after the disaster of titanic, if that's not enough reason i don't know what would be to convince you!

Of course. I agree laws should exist, undoubtedly. I am considering things from a different angle and trying to process it. e.g. "it has been X time since Y event happened; we need to create another incident" sort of thing. It helps to get others' input! Thanks, everyone, for your replies. If any other replies are coming, I'll also read them.

There is always a law, but upon all living and dead beings. Law described by Universe where we live. Gods teach us how it works. Justice, Righteous aren't without reason.
Laws given by humanity are oversimplified and nowadays corrupted, but have no power against Universe.
