As everyone knows here, Isa is a rune that freezes, immobilizes, binds, and conceals. In addition to all of that, with a direct quote from the related Futhark page of the Temple of Zeus ''On a more positive note, this rune is helpful in void meditation as it acts to still and is also helpful in concentration, bringing calmness and guidance. Care needs to be taken, as the rune can also make the user dull and/or obsessive. Isa works to calm hysteria, hyperactivity, and restlessness.''

I wanted to share how I use it for concentration and calmness. This visualisation helps to calm down and focus without causing dullness or obsession. People who have excess Air and Fire elements can benefit from this more.

A Gemini stellium in the 3rd house, Mercury–Uranus hard aspects, and other excess/hard placements related to Air signs mean these people will be more prone to restlessness; their minds are never quiet. Anxiety and nervous overstimuli are expected. Excess Fire is another thing that causes hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and inability to sit still, physical restlessness

The method is simply immersing your mind in a snowy winter morning. Snow makes everything quieter and brighter. This has to do with its physical qualities. Fresh snow that nobody stepped on yet in the early morning reflects up to 95% of the sunlight. This is huge compared to your regular asphalt, soil, and grass, which vary between 5-25%. Also, snow is made of millions of tiny ice crystals. Light enters, bounces around inside, and exits scattered. This creates even more even lighting. This is the reason why snow has that glowing, luminous effect.

Snow absorbs sound, everything becomes silent. Fresh snow contains lots of trapped air between crystals. Sound waves enter these air bubbles and get trapped until all of their energy is gone and dissipate. Sound does not bounce back from snow as it does from hard surfaces like concrete. Snow covers all of the hard surfaces around, creates a natural sound insulation layer over everything.

When it snows, everything becomes quiet and bright. Snow is a billion tiny ice crystals. Isa is ice. You can use Isa to create your own sound isolation for loud thoughts. Do not forget to make it bright, as this will keep you from becoming dull.

@Big Dipper shared this beautiful winter painting by Peder Mork Monsted in Vultus Templorum chat. A beautiful, quiet, snowy winter day. Two cute crows, too. This is more or less what I visualize.

While doing Isa vibrations, I've thought of another visualization too, later decided against using it. Some very hot things, like metal forgings and glassware, are submerged into water for rapid cooling or hardening. However, you know how glass can break when you pour hot water on a cold day, and this is not something I'd like your minds to experience. Like a Prince Rupert's Drop, created by dropping molten glass into cold water, it could be so strong enough to withstand hammer blows but also not very stable. This is probably why using Isa and Fehu together is advised against for newbies.

Anyway, I believe using snow as an insulation to isolate you from loud thoughts and its light-reflecting power for a bright mind is a valid method. Don't forget to affirm it for calmness and concentration!

If you are able to take action, the first step, but cannot keep moving, doing it day after day, time after time, what you need is discipline: Nauthiz and Earth. If you cannot start doing things at all, you need Fire, and Fehu or Ur. Someone else will need to calm down. These are all different problems and require different approaches. It is possible that someone will need all of these and more, but it is always a good idea to look inside and reflect.

Thank you for reading! Let me know if you have any suggestions.
