I am very proud of being a Satanist and have no problem telling friends who inquire about my religion. When my parents found out it wasn't the way I planned.. They asked what my boyfriend has to live for and one of the things a said when I replied was has religion. They asked what he is (is he Jewish? HAH! Does he look or act like a kike? NO!!) So I told my parents he was a satanist and it wasn't very pretty... When they got over the shock and let me explain myself they found they have nothing to worry about and now accept our religion.
I'm wondering if I should continue to hide what I am so proud of and I keep thinking yes for fear they would pray for me and fuck up my concentration when meditating. I currently have no negative thoughts and intend to keep it that way. Would it be worth it to tell them?

This is indeed a tough thing to decide. I personally think it varies from situation to situation. For example: with friends, I know that I could casually bring up a subject and usually get into some interesting discussions, which is partially how I work to try and bring more people to Father. However, my parents are very blind and vary hardheaded. If I tried to bring up this subject I could only imagine what would happen. They are xians but they are very confusing to understand. At times they are HEAVILY devout and at other times they are too mundane and laid back. I'm beginning to wonder about my step father... He seems to be faltering in such a way that I might actually be able to bring him to Father, but at this time it is not a risk I'm willing to take unless I'm certain.

So as you can see it really depends upon the case/situation. Stop and think about the person you are about to talk to... What all do you know about them, what subjects are touchy for them, etc... Use this knowledge to help determine if it's safe to tell someone about being a Satanist and more. Try starting it off as a light subject of interest. For example, one of my personal favorites to start off with is, "What would you say if I told you that Angels were evil?" it tends to spark some interesting conversations.

Good luck to you Sister.
