Welcome;
In practice to obtain the empty mind, I studied the information on the site and the books jos Astral Dynamics and the initiation into hermetic. Since reaching a total "vacation mind" seems difficult to achieve what I think is better is from the first chapter in the practice of "initiation into the hermetic" called "thought control" which lists steps that prepare earlier to achieve this state more easily and in addition they will acquire skills that are equally useful and important as a well-defined mind and increase memory and concentration. Practice the first exercise for a month but I can not understand what state of mind I need to make progress. The first exercise of thought control in the first chapter of the hermetic initiation seemed so simple but then I could not understand what exactly we would do. In the sense that there are different ways to practice it, like those who follow him and also the total vacancy of mind. You can focus on thoughts, but still stay alert (conscious) of external stimuli or you can focus entirely on the thoughts and trying to completely eliminate the environment that surrounds us from our minds, or even you can concentrate exclusively on the external environment and about being here (present) in the present tense and groped not think of anything or thinking the same thing though. There are many variables and really do not think I managed to explain well but you have to forgive me because it is difficult to explain in words and not even know English. The point is that I can not determine how the thinking goes controlled, partly because of something you should think about while I also believe in a session of meditation on emptiness.
Ok, excuse the bad translation from my Italian and concepts a bit confused. I like each of you that wants to answer or even just talk on the question of thought control. Also aid are welcome for obvious reasons.
In addition to the site the books I mentioned are in the file section of the yahoo group advanced meditations ever jos.
Thanks for listening.
