Even when they say "this isn't literal" you should tell them "how do you decide if something is literal or not? if that is not literal then how do you know that jewsus in the buybull is a real person and not an allegory?".  Or "so are you saying that the only literal verses is the ones you like and the allegorical ones are the ones you feel uncomfortable with?" This shuts them up too

Really @fake name, my point is if they say "this is not literal" they make it worse for themselves because you can tell them that jewsus is not a literal person either and is 100% fictitious. Or that sin or salvation whatever else concepts they have are not literal. If they tell you they are literal then you tell them "how do you know that? you already said something else isn't literal so how do you know this isn't allegorical either?"
