Think For Yourself (a little something I wrote)

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of people coming to the Jos groups who seem to have an inability to think for themselves. I'm not talking about the ones who ask questions that can be answered by a quick look through the Joy of Satan website. I'm talking about the ones who are constantly asking how they should feel, who need other people to tell them what's right or wrong.

As Spiritual Satanists, we are taught to become strong, to rely on our own powers and to think for ourselves. We are encouraged to learn and grow to be the best we can. Some of these people don't seem to understand that. They seem to have the Christian mentality that they need to adopt certain ideals and follow them without question if they want to be a part. Those who live their lives based on someone else's ideals are the truly weak ones. This is what sets us apart as Satanists. We think for ourselves and refuse to bend to someone else's idea of right and wrong.

Not too long ago, someone asked the question "Should I feel guilty for breaking up with my girlfriend of two years?" That's all he said. This is actually what convinced me to write this in the first place. It's not up to someone to decide how you should feel. It's also not up to someone to decide your sense of right or wrong. Your yes could be another's no. He can feel however he wants about it, and that's ok. But the worst thing he could do is ask a group of total strangers how to feel.

People who ask questions like this make it seem like they are scared to think for themselves. They want to be told what to think and feel because it's the only thing they know. As Satanists, we are taught to question something if it does not seem right, not to accept it as it is. I'm not saying you should never ask for advice. In some situations, it might be a good idea to ask for other opinions. But when it comes to your feelings or an ideal; that is one thing you should decide for yourself.

Thank you for writing this. I know that I, myself, needed to read this. This christian mentality takes a while to get rid of though. For some it may take years. As we get to know ourselves, and deprogram ourselves through meditation, yoga, studying, and personal empowerment on every aspect of ourselves and our lives, our true selves start to show more and more. It's not just christian programming. But what media feeds us, our social circle, our workplace, everything and everyone has an impact on the product that is ourselves. Everyday. Whether we want it to be so or not. It's when we fight against it and strive to undo all the previous programming is when we truly begin to rise.We are currently the product of what we have been reading, watching, and who we have been spending time with for the past few years.Unfortunately for many, especially coming from christianity or other destructive programs, it's not the best we can become.Only through coming to Lord Satan and Satanism is when we truly grow and evolve and shed our old beings, discarding our old beliefs, and finding who we are and our purpose. It takes longer for some then others.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It can be pretty difficult to get out of.
Especially for those who come from a christian background. Even now,
I still find it creeping in sometimes and I've been a Satanist for
almost four years.

But as long as we're doing whatever we can to break from that
mentality, then we're already one step closer to getting rid of it
altogether.

Only through coming to Lord Satan and Satanism is when we truly grow and

we are and our purpose.
It takes longer for some then others.

Yeah, I know. It's sad that so many people think like this. People
just expect everything to get handed to them. And when something seems
to hard, they give up before they even try.

Yeah, I used to think that. But the only way they will learn is if they get a chance to ask their question and have it answered. What's the point in encouraging people to think for themselves if everything they say gets moderated?  It's frustrating having to deal with these people sometimes, but it has to be done.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of people coming to the Jos groups
who
seem
to have an inability to think for themselves. I'm not talking about
the
ones who ask questions that can be answered by a quick look through
the
Joy of Satan website. I'm talking about the ones who are constantly
asking
how they should feel, who need other people to tell them what's
right
or
wrong.

As Spiritual Satanists, we are taught to become strong, to rely on
our own
powers and to think for ourselves. We are encouraged to learn and
grow to
be the best we can. Some of these people don't seem to understand
that.
They seem to have the Christian mentality that they need to adopt
certain
ideals and follow them without question if they want to be a part.
Those
who live their lives based on someone else's ideals are the truly
weak
ones. This is what sets us apart as Satanists. We think for
ourselves
and
refuse to bend to someone else's idea of right and wrong.

Not too long ago, someone asked the question "Should I feel guilty
for
breaking up with my girlfriend of two years?" That's all he said.
This is
actually what convinced me to write this in the first place. It's
not
up
to someone to decide how you should feel. It's also not up to
someone
to
decide your sense of right or wrong. Your yes could be another's
no.
He
can feel however he wants about it, and that's ok. But the worst
thing he
could do is ask a group of total strangers how to feel.

People who ask questions like this make it seem like they are
scared
to
think for themselves. They want to be told what to think and feel
because
it's the only thing they know. As Satanists, we are taught to
question
something if it does not seem right, not to accept it as it is. I'm
not
saying you should never ask for advice. In some situations, it
might
be a
good idea to ask for other opinions. But when it comes to your
feelings or
an ideal; that is one thing you should decide for yourself.

I start to think for my self only since 3-4 months I think it happens because of my opening and empowering chakras meditation that transforms me slowly and I don't regret that because I found out I was mind controlled by a xtian friend of mine who mind controlled me before because I was always looking for someone to look at as a "IDOL" and it was him until I started to think for myself and make my own decision. Now that xtian friend is crying like a baby, I meant by this his angry, because he cannot control me no more :) when I tell him "No" he Hates that and I love to see him sooo mad :D

HAIL TO OUR FATHER!!!

Thats a normal behaviour, people are coming into the ranks from a society that has terraformed this mentality into peoples heads intergenerational for centuries. Its designed to keep people undercontrol. Because if your always looking to others for vaildation and direction, always looking for what to think. But never how to think. Those who control the levers of opinion and attitudes ie Jewish, social engineering. Can then control the mass mind easier. And have the sheep police the sheep. And themselves internally. This dissolves in time with daily spiritual practices as the psyche activates and the conditioning is cleaned out.
