This is being voted on today at 5:30 ET. The majority of the bill is sealed to the public, but parts that have been leaked indicate a massive regulation of the internet, massive deregulation of food and pharmaceutical companies, and most important, a provision that would allow corporations to sue the government (and the taxpayers) for billions over "lost profits." All of this in addition to the catastrophic race-to-the-bottom effect trade deals have on jobs anyway. So is there any way to stop this? Or should it stand as an example to the people of just how un-democratic their "democracy" really is?

You're sure it's today? I heard them say it's "today" for the past 3 months now only to hear more deliberations and Obama cover ups.

My mistake, it was the TPA that got passed on Wednesday. That's the law that allows TPP and other trade deals to get rammed through congress with no debate or amendments... Now that it's through, it's just about a done deal that TPP will pass when it gets brought up in the next few days or weeks.
