So yeah, ever since I found your site (www.joyofsatan.org, I'm getting stuck in between being a LaVeyan and being a Spiritual Satanist.
Which should I pick?

But wait, if you changed your question and made it how will you know that SS is for you and if to join it or not, then yes I can help you on that. It's really simple to help you decide.

You can start by doing basic power meditations and do some standard rituals first to feel your powers and or feel Satan. Do that for a while to help you have experiences. What power meditations are recommended for beginners is chakra work and opening, energy, void and aura cleaning.

Then of course, if you decide that like it then do the Dedication ritual to become a formal SS, otherwise don't.

However, the way you put your question at first it's obvious what I and many others are gonna answer. The point here is not what you SHOULD do or not, it's how you find if this is for you. Because Spiritual Satanism is not for everyone, it's harder and almost impossible for some people who are heavily programmed to join and persist in it. Those of us who are BORN Spiritual Satanists it comes automatically and without question.

There's also another way to learn if this is for you. This is not my idea, someone else has mentioned this before.

Sit in a dark quiet place free of distractions, light a candle (preferably a black or blue one) and ask that question to yourself "Is SS for me"? Meditate on this question for as long as comfortable. You may also repeat this every day for a week or so. You'll feel if this is for you or not.

I do not pretend to know as much as the more experienced on this site. To me the choice between Lavey and being a Spiritual satanist is clearly one of respect. La vey's followers do not respect Satan they don't even think he's real. Spritual satanists on the other hand have respect and love for Satan, as an actual being. Thats why we call him Father.
